Take Back the Weekend
Ah, Sunday morning the part of the weekend
where relaxation has finally started to kick in. you’re spending time with your family going out for a meal or staying at home hanging out, or you’re meeting up with your friends for a fun get together you’ve been talking about doing on the weekend for a while.
But then there’s the other part of Sunday that lets you know that you’ve only got one more day to enjoy the weekend. Then it’s back to our five day work week where as soon as we walk in on Monday morning and something goes wrong we find ourselves wishing for the weekend to come faster.
Admit it, all of us, myself included, who are in that upper echelon of people who really love our jobs are finding ourselves wishing for the weekend around Tuesday.
The worst part about the weekend? We only get two days off from our five day week and the weekend is normally the only time that we get to really catch up on projects around the house.
Factor that in and think about whether the weekend is really a break or just another couple of days to work.
So I’m here today to tell you all to take back
the weekend
.
Make those two precious days a time of rest and play and stop using them as an extension of your work week.
Now Chris and I have been just as guilty about using the weekend for work instead of play. We’ve used it to look for houses, and work on our businesses. And trust me it’s taken a toll on us when we have to get up and start that five day work week all over again.
Don’t you deserve better?
That’s an easy question to answer, because we all do.
The question now is, what are you going to do to make it better?
Are you going to keep doing what you’re doing and hope that the weekend becomes a time of rest and not work?
Or are you going to do everything you can to make the weekend what it was meant to be, a time of relaxation and rejuvenation for you and your family.
We sincerely hope that you choose the second one, and that you look to us for guidance on how to make the weekend even more enjoyable than you could ever imagine.
Now is the weekend automatically going to be more relaxing for you? Probably not.
To be honest there might still be some time where you’re having to work straight through
the weekend
and making sacrifices to ensure that the rewards and in your future.
There are still weekends where Chris and I have to work and we’re not nearly as relaxed as we’d like to be on Mondays when I have to go to school and Chris goes to his job. However, we’re finding that slowly but surely the weekend has become more of a relaxing time where we can spend the time enjoying each other’s company and not always working on a business.
Don’t you deserve the same thing?
If you want to find out how the weekend has become a real weekend again for Chris and I please give us a call or email.
Here for You,
Jenn and Chris
