Reduce Bounce Rate – Easy Ways To Do This

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Improve the bounce rate of your site to the point where it is as close to zero as possible. If you can do that, then you will be singing in tall cotton, as they say in some places. The bounce rate of your website is going to have a major impact on a few different areas of your business. Keeping your business alive and making money are at the heart of these concerns. So it really will help you to learn as much as possible about this as well as how to optimize things. Your site must be able to hold onto visitors once they land on your home page. So, in this article what we want to do is teach you some of the things you can do to lower your website’s bounce rate.

The reason you are not the best person to be critical about your site is that you know it too well. Plus, since you are the site’s creator, chances are high that you are afraid of hurting things. The truth is that it is really hard to come up with negative appraisals of the websites we create. You have to find a way to get this done, though, because it is a really important part of the process. Since you are so familiar with the site you’ve built you might not understand when something is really difficult to find. This is a time when knowing just where everything is can be quite a difficulty. Perhaps the best thing you can do is to be as meticulous about your site as you can. Try to think about your site the way visitors will think about your site.

Several of our other articles have discussed the negative impact of ads on your websites. The location of your ads is very important, something you need to give serious consideration. What you want to do is avoid placing them too close to certain important page elements. Buttons and links on your site should be away from your ads at all times. These types of advertisements can cause a lot of annoyance and even more confusion. Navigating around your site should be easy, plus people should be able to read the content without any problems. Moving elements or flashing lights in your advertisements is something you should not have on your website. Keep that in mind.

If you’re using a bunch of apps and plugins on your blog and are convinced that there is no way you can live without any of them, you need to look at your site’s loading time. It’s likely that you’ve got a fairly good sense of the loading time for your website. If you’re happy with it, then think about how much RAM you have. If you have a bunch of RAM (a few GBs or more), you aren’t really the best person to measure your site’s loading time. Most people don’t have lots of RAM and for them, your site will not be performing as well. So make sure you know how to make sure that your website is optimized for speed as well, even if you need to learn more about how to do it.

As you can see, you should really focus on having a low bounce rate. You can do this by tracking the visitors to your website on a regular basis. Manually tracking your traffic and bounce rate can be done on your own if you are IM operation is small enough. But since you have learned about it in this article, you will not make that mistake.

You know there are many methods available to use with online marketing, and Phil Hutchinson is merely one of them but it should be seriously considered.
