Subconscious

Subconscous

What do you think of when you hear the word subconscious?

You might say it is the part of your conscious mind. It is that part that tells me to wake up at a certain time without an alarm clock.

Your Subconscious Controls Your Body

Did you realize that “your subconscious controls your body” of all its vital functions without help of your conscious mind. When you are asleep your heart continues to beat, your lungs continue to expand and deflate the hair on your head and body continues to grow whether you are awake or asleep.

Your five senses are alert when you are sleeping.

Think of someone in a terrible accident where the doctors have said that person is brain dead. That person may for a while be kept on life support.  It is that life support machine that acts as the brain. Telling your heart and lungs to work, as well as tell your blood to flow.

I use to be a very sound sleeper, nothing woke me up….nothing.  The reason I never woke up was because I was safe. My parents were there to take care of me.

Once I moved out of my parents home and out on my own. Even with a roommate that all changed. I now heard everything. It was my subconscious mind taking over to keep me safe.

Your Conscious Mind Can Interfere With Your Subconscious

Did you realize that your conscious mind can interfere with your subconscious? Your subconscious mind creates harmony in your body. It is your conscious mind that interferes with that harmony.

Can you say worry, fear, anxiety and depression?

Look at someone with stomach ulcers…..I would bet that worry and fear are tops on the list for this cause.

Why do we as human beings cannot seem to let go of stuff? Is it because we like the control?

I am sure the control issue ranks right up by number one.

My belief as to why we will not let stuff go is in how we are brought up.

Whether you were brought up with one or two parents, grandparents, foster care or in a children’s home everything was not always perfect.

I remember when I was growing up there were seven of us (including my parents.) I remember my mom always saying “I cannot afford to feed everyone.”  Now I do not remember ever missing a meal, and I was always full with what we had to eat. When I got to my adult years I found out at times it was really hard on my parents to try to have enough food for all of us.

My mom had the worry that that her children would be hungry because there was not enough food. Now this was a mild worry. Something always happened that there was enough food to go around.

Not too long ago I was in a situation where I was worrying to the point I lost almost 25 pounds. My husband and I owned a business that we had to close. Our home was on the line, and since we had to close the business we were about to lose it.

I always took pride in paying my bills on time. But…it really hit my husband hard, and literally had a personality change of denied. So I was left holding the brunt of everything. I did not want to give up this house…in fact I did everything to try to keep it. Once I accepted the fact I did everything that I could do to keep from losing my beautiful home…I let go.

Slowly but surely things started to turn around.

Subconscious Preserves

During that time I learned a lot. What I learned is the fight to survive. A house is just ….a house. I was afraid (fear) of being homeless.  Once I accepted I tried….I began to relax. This is how your subconscious preserves life. I choose with my conscious mind….which in turned let my subconscious mind go back into harmony with my body.

Blessings,

Carla
