Are you considering getting into Jiu Jitsu? If so, you will likely need to look into the Jiu Jitsu pro gear essentials. Having the right type of high quality gear is very important when it comes to your career in Jiu Jitsu. When you are first starting out, there are four different essentials that you must have. As you delve further into this martial art, you may want to get more gear and equipment, but this will work to get you started.
Bjj Gi – Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear
First and foremost, you will need to have a high quality Bjj Gi. This is the most important piece of Jiu Jitsu pro gear. Some people know it better as a Bjj Kimono. This is a set that comes with a top and pants. It is essentially the uniform that is worn during Jiu Jitsu. You need to choose one that will be comfortable for you to wear when training and practicing, so that it does not get in the way of you being able to perform certain moves.
Bjj Belt – Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear
Next, you will need to get your belt. The color of your belt will depend on your ranking in the martial art. You will start with a white belt as a beginner, then move through the other colors: blue, purple, brown and black. The belt that you wear will help you to see your improvement as you go. As you get better, you will qualify for higher Jiu Jitsu Belts. Just remember to not get discouraged about the color of your belt. It takes the professionals upwards of ten years to work their way all the way to a black belt. It is much more difficult to move forward with Jiu Jitsu belts than other types of martial art.

Rash Guard – Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear
Rash guards are really important when you are practicing Jiu Jitsu. This type of Jiu Jitsu pro gear helps you to reduce the amount of sweat that stays on your skin by absorbing your sweat. When you sweat a lot practicing Jiu Jitsu, it is common to get a skin rash. Don’t ever practice without your rash guard. Just remember to ask if the rash guard is permitted during any competitions. Some judges will have rules against them, while others may allow them.
Ear Guard – Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear
When you watch professional Jiu Jitsu fighters, you may notice that there are not many of them that wear their ear guards regularly. It is, however, a highly recommended piece of Jiu Jitsu pro gear. It really helps to keep the ears protected and safe while practicing the martial art.
These are the top four essentials when it comes to Jiu Jitsu pro gear. Before you start out, make sure that you find high quality gear that will keep you safe and comfortable while you are practicing and competing. After all, how can you expect to have success in the Jiu Jitsu art if you don’t have everything that you need? You can find everything that you need, including all other optional accessories, if you take the time to shop around.
