Hitman Absolution Must Read Before You Do Anything

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

What Is Hitman Absolution?

Hitman Absolution is a new game by Square Enix and is currently the fifth game in the acclaimed Hitman franchise. The game is a stealth action adventure game. The release date for Hitman Absolution was November 20, 2012, which was the 47th weeks in the year, which was a reference to the main protagonist of the game series, Agent 47.

The game takes place after Hitman: Blood Money and still features Agent 47 as the main character. Like the previous games you have to use a mixture of stealth and violence to achieve your goals.

Hitman Absolution Features

The game has both a single player and multi-player option available. This game is also the first game in the series to feature “instinct mode” which allows the player to predict patrol routes. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, and the Xbox 360.

For those who had pre-ordered the game, there were four different pre-order bonuses available. A high tech suite and Bartoli pistol, a Public Enemy suit plus the Bronson submachine gun, the Agency TRG sniper rifle, and the  High Roller suit and Krugermeier 2-2 pistol.

Hitman Absolution Reviews

Hitman Absolution has been well received by both critics and fans. IGN gave the game a 9/10 and Game Informer gave it an 8.75/10. Metacritic scores are also fairly decent. The PS3 version of the game has an 83/100. The other two versions were slightly lower, both the Xbox and Windows versions having a 79/100 score.

If you’ve ever been a fan of stealth games, you’ll definitely want to pick up a copy of Hitman Absolution or one of the previous games in the series. There aren’t very many games out there like the Hitman series and everyone should at least give them a shot.

The games allow you to kill your targets in many different ways. You can poison their drink, push them down the stairs, or just run into the room and shoot everything that moves. The game lets you completely customize your play style. It doesn’t matter who you choose to kill your target. All that matters is that they end up dead.

If you’re looking for a new game to play, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Hitman Absolution today. It’s available on all three major platforms, so no matter which system you prefer to play on, you’re still able to get a copy. Who knows, maybe you can even catch it on sale!
