GUEST BLOGGER:  Bill A. King, Jr.

Today we have a guest blogger in the house!   Allow me to introduce my best friend, coach, counselor, Pastor, and biggest supporter… my husband, Bill A. King, Jr

Cause and Effect

Everything that we have done in our lives, good or bad, drives our thinking about things. They are responsible for our choices, our limitations, our guilt, and determines whether we tell the truth, partial truth, or lie. Salvation through Christ Jesus opens the door, giving us the potential for change. But change is something we must purpose in our heart and exercise in our thinking/thoughts in order for change to become lasting.

It would be a simple task to just do thinks differently, but that’s not true change. That’s the reason that Christ sends a test after you get a series of blessings. The test is designed to show you… That change indeed was of God or from you and your motivations, ambitions and etc.  I also teach that…

Forming habits is not Gods way of sanctifying us

Our thinking is not renewed by having a different thought beside/instead of the one that challenges our thoughts/thinking. Neither is change validated by the removal of things that tempt us. The temptation in us still remains. It, the temptation, experiences and thoughts that gives us the vision, feelings and excitements will cause our future fall, hinder our Growth in Christ, limit what God can do through us. We are tested to be proven.

One of the things that we cannot run from are the feelings that we feel when we think about things. We cannot undo the past no matter how traumatic it was, whether it was done too or against us. But we must face those thoughts in ways that we do not hide from them or they will work in our life to undo the successes that Christ is creating or they will limit your growth.

We must give all of our thinking to Christ in a way that we are free from them

How that happens is a life long mission between you and Christ, but you must first step back and be willing to forgive yourself for all the foolish things HE/YOU has/have/are done/doing to create hurt in your life.

What you do in response to your thinking plants seeds in your life.  The things that you plant are what you will enjoy or will not enjoy.  When an event reminds you of the thing you feel guilty of, you respond to that thing or a current event based on old experiences. The results you produce are circulative, creating the same bad experiences/results that currently exists in your life.

God Bless You.
Feel free to share.
