Ever felt like you could just keep going and you did?

Isn’t if fascinating to know how powerful we truly are?

I love reading about people that were able to overcome challenges all for the name of their vision. For their mission and purposein life. I find it that I’m drawn more and more towards this type of forward thinking and progressing with life.

I remember a little girl from church and we spoke earlier about her band practices. She was excited because she would be trying out for the varsity team in the next couple of weeks and she told me that she was excited.

“I think that I’ll have a pretty good shot at making it in.”

I remember listening to that and thinking just two things:

1) The belief level is (2) That she can do it

Now let me address the first part first, and lastly I’ll get on to the secret remedy, the secret sauce that I shared with her that I know will create massive success in her life when she decides to apply the principle that I secretly shared with her.

The first part of her sentence, “I think” is an “okay” statement, meaning, that it’s ok to think that you’ll make the cut, but it’s not as good as, “I believe I’ll make the cut.” I tend to believe that there’s a totem pole attached to this philosophy in the sense that it goes somewhat like this:

-I can’t
-I won’t
-I’ll try
-I can
-I will
-I must
-IT’S HAPPENING NO MATTER WHAT

(once again, “lol”)

Do you see the shift in the level of belief?

There’s a difference isn’t there?

That’s the difference that separates the greats from the not so greats.

The next distinction was that I believed in her. Here’s a hint. Believe in everybody. Believe in them like no one else would. This is one of the greatest life’s lessons I’ve had to learn and I’ll tell you why at a later date.

Just trust me and believe me when I say, “Believe in people”

The next and final part was this, I gave her a secret of achieving success in her endeavor. I asked her, “Do you know what the secret to success in anything is?”

She responded with, “Keep practicing”. She said it with a smile so it was sweet to note that she does practice and she does what she believe will work, but here’s the thing…

I said, “no”

Here’s why, although I believe working towards a goal is an integral part to success I don’t believe that it’s the only thing that is efficient enough to work. I believe that when we begin to visualize our goals and see what we truly want that that’s when that magic really happens.

Visualization is also just a part of the key. When we see what we want, and act on what we want, and fight for what we want…. That’s the real key to success. 

See it, act on the vision and believethat it will happen.
