I’ll give you a couple of reasons as to why you should, but first I want to tell you a story…

It’s about a young boy that is lost in the world and there are two voices shouting at him for his attention. One promises him safety, security and well being. He sees a vision of his future bright, somewhat normal in the eyes of his community. Well, it’s normalto him now because everyone encourages him to take that route.

Except, there’s on fatal flaw to the choice he’s about to make.

It’s outdated.

It turns out that that very model of the world is largely outdated… And soon coming to a collapse….

Let’s talk about the second voice. The second voice is a little bit weird… It doesn’t do what society tells it to do. As a matter of fact this voice is a visionary, and into the eyes of regular ol’ people… Well that voice is just plain crazy (have you ever felt like that)… This particular voice has a dream, a vision and a purpose to fullfill in life.

It can’t be stopped because it has been beating at the brain of the little boy for so long, that it has now manifested into a giant tree within his heart… He’s at a tug of war internally until one day he wakes up and makes a decision…

That’s it. 

I’m going after my dreams. 

Period.

This little boy’s represents the power that we all have inside of us. Quite frankly, it reminds me of “The Alchemist” by Paulo Cohelo. It’s a rather fascinating story about a little boy that has a dream that one day he will find treasure. All along the road to get there distractions after “circumstances” arise that could easily stop any body else.

But we’re different.

Back to the little boy.

Finally, through all the turmoil, the young guy decides that it’s time to go after it (I highly recommend reading this book). It teaches us to follow our dreams and to take action. Maybe like you’re feeling right now.
