Is What We Do Based Out of Our Perception of the Pleasure We’ll Receive?

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Is what we do based out of our view of pleasure?

I think the real question is, “Are we willing to do things that hurt us?”

I do this all the time to be quite honest with ya. I sometimes realize I must do something in order to accomplish a goal (like this blog post) and for whatever reason this is the last thing I do for the day.

Except this time it’s a little different.

I decided to seek “long term” gratification  in order to seek the “feeling” of having accomplished something worthwhile in my life. I can clean my home, fix everything up and chillax for a little while, but while I still have this post to make it will always lurk in the back ground.

I hate that.

So, I decided to say it’s great to win. It’s great to write something based out of pure value because the end result will be somebody that reads this post to get incredible results in their lives.

Here’s an excerpt I found fascinating from Awaken the Giant Within:

“What makes a person with a “good background” behave so savagely and without remorse while another gives his own life to rescue complete strangers? What creates a hero, a heel, a criminal, a contributor? What determines the difference in human actions? Through my life, I have passionately sought the answer to these questions. One thing is clear to me: human beings are not random creatures; everything we do, we do for a reason. We may not be aware of the reason consciously, but there is undoubtedly a single driving force behind all human behavior. This for impacts every facet of our lives, from our relationships and finances to our bodies and brains. What is this force that is controlling you even and will continue to do so for the rest of your life? PAIN and PLEASURE! Everything you and I do, we do either out of our need to avoid pain or our desire to gain pleasure.”

Fascinating ain’t it?

I think that it’s interesting to know that because with this vital force element we can shift our ideas about what we do, and make them a powerful driving force. Things that I once used to dread are now becoming the very things I look forward to.Which is powerful, wouldn’t you agree?

I wanted to share this with you because I knew that for me I am making powerful and impacting changes in my life. I know I’m not the only one out there that wants to do great things with their life, so I’m sincerely writing this message for you. Because I know your power and I know your potential, and if you’re struggling right now I love you and you can do it.

So, I’m sitting here writing this post after cleaning my home and I’m thinking of the future. I’m seeing a sea of people making breakthroughs in their life, discovering their purpose and realizing what their true power really is. It’s all about the value that we can create for people.

Similar to the value that the Empower Network blogging platform gives to others. I’m able to blog about the things that I learn about. I’m able to share things that are powerful and you can do the same too right here.

We’re here to see you grow and prosper and it really is simple once you believe it.

I look forward to watching your growth,
