Some people think they need to live their lives in an exhausted state. This is so untrue. Many people suffer from sleep apnea, which is why it is crucial to learn everything about it.
When you do not get a good night of sleep, plan on taking naps during the day. Taking a small nap will give you the energy to continue on with your day. Explain to the person you work for that you need naps to be at your best.
If sleep apnea makes it hard to get enough rest, try taking a nap during the day. Long term sleep deprivation can really hinder your overall health, and your capacity during the day. If you can, take an afternoon nap so that you can get more sleep during the day.
Sleep Apnea Symptoms
You may need to have surgery to remove excess tissue from your throat if that is causing your sleep apnea symptoms. You may be able to eliminate your sleep apnea symptoms by letting a surgeon perform an uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) treatment on you to clear away the extra tissue and expand your airways. Along with other throat tissue, you will have the added bonus of having your tonsils removed!
Common sleep hygiene interventions, such as keeping a sleep schedule, can help with sleep apnea. Your body needs a routine to stay healthy, especially if you are experiencing sleep apnea. Your body will more easily adjust to your sleep time if you stay consistent. Then you can fall asleep easier and get more rest each night.
Sleep Apnea
It’s imperative that you take responsibility to get treatment if you have sleep apnea. Putting off a doctor’s visit could lead to a worsening of conditions over a period of time. Speak with your doctor sooner rather than later if you suspect you’ve got a sleep apnea problem; don’t wait for the disruptions in your sleep patterns to become intolerable.
Now that you better understand sleep apnea, you can start the journey towards better sleep and better health. Chronic tiredness is never normal, and is often a sign of an underlying medical condition. Don’t be afraid to talk with your doctor about the issues discussed here
