Anti-Cancer Property
One of the beautiful mango benefits is the anti-cancer property. According to new research study, mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. Several trial studies suggest that polyphenolic anti-oxidant compounds in mango are known to offer protection against breast and colon cancers.

Rich in Dietary Fiber
If you are eating mango daily, irregularity is not a problem for you and so we’ll spare the gruesome details regarding constipation, piles and spastic colon. Research has shown that dietary fiber has a protective effect against degenerative diseases, especially with regards to the heart. Dietary Fiber may help prevent certain types of cancer, as well as lowering blood cholesterol levels. An average sized mango can contain up to 40% of your daily fiber requirement.

Promote Digestion
Mangoes contain digestive enzymes just like papain (enzyme extracted from papaya) that help break down proteins and aid digestion. It is also valuable to combat acidity and poor digestion because of an enzyme found in the fruit which soothes the stomach. Due to the high amounts of fiber found in mango, it can be a helpful in keeping you regular, thereby helping or preventing constipation.

In India, mango peel is given to people with inflammation of the stomach mucus membranes. Eating one or two small tender mangoes in which the seed is not fully formed with salt and honey is found to be very effective medicine for summer diarrhea, dysentery, piles, morning sickness, chronic dyspepsia, indigestion and constipation.

Good for Diabetes
As you can see from the nutrition facts, the glycemic index of mango is very low. So, mango does not have any significant effect in increasing blood sugar levels.

Another beauty of mango benefits is that mango is rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin E and vitamin K. Ripe mango contains more vitamin A (beta carotene) and raw mango contains more vitamin C. These vitamins are strong antioxidant which helps you fight free radicals and boost your body immune system.
