Fulltime RV Living . . . A Little Different From the Norm . . .

We live fulltime in our RV a little different from the norm . . . we live in our pickup camper on the banks of the Missouri River.

We’re not the normal fulltime rvers – we’re not 65 years old – we’re not waiting for retirement to live our dream.

Even living fulltime in a pickup camper is different from the fulltime rving norm.  The majority of full time rvers pull a fifth wheel or drive a huge Class A motorhome and are snowbirds.

Not us – we choose to live “Outside the Box” in a Box . . .

simply living simply.

Choosing where we want to live . . . no schedule, no destination – just the open road and the discoveries along the way.

Our routine is different from the norm, too . . . it’s a slower pace.

Without all the usual “stuff” to clean and maintain and distract, we have more time to let the day unfold on its own terms.

We have more time to sit quietly watching the sun give birth to a new day – as a blanket of gold saturates the grass and trees and the eastern sky transforms from black, to pink, to yellow, to blue.

We have more time to get lost in the soothing sounds of the birds, coyotes, owls, katydids and train whistles.

We have more time to sit on the banks of the river in the evening, seeing spectacular sunsets give the Amen to another day, watching the river’s steady flow, catching a glimpse of catfish and turtles and eagles.

We have more time to visit with the people who stop by on their travels – to hear their dreams, their adventures, their stories.

Many people shudder at the idea of living in such a small space.

They cannot fathom giving up all the stuff that fills every room, the garage and even three storage sheds.

But, many more dream of doing what we do – of letting go and living simply . . .

Having more time to live freely

To live fully.

To live now.

Because life is too short to wait for someday.

Because it’s a shame to wait until you’re dying to begin living.
