Breaking through a rude awakening . . .

Years ago, in a small town in mid-Missouri, I experienced a rude awakening.

I was 11 years old, the middle child in a family of six kids, two parents, four grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins . . . and Christmas was coming.

It was a time of transition.  I decided I was too old to believe in Santa any longer . . . no more need to visit Santa at the toy store, no more letters written to the old guy, no more leaving cookies and milk by the tree . . .

It was a rude awakening on Christmas morning when I realized that deciding to grow up meant the presents under the tree changed from fun, exciting toys to practical, boring things.
If you could see the black and white photo of all of us gathered around the tree with their “loot” spread out in front of them, you would see this 11 year old girl sitting there, with a look of disappointment on her face, wearing a new sweater, holding up her arm to show the watch she received . . . as her brothers and sisters grinned with delight over the dolls, games, trucks, and guns Santa had delivered.

Life is full of rude awakenings . . . the sharp slap of reality hits over and over . . .

especially as you plod along, struggling to hold on to a dream that seems so far away . . .

especially when you enter the world of building an online business.

Pretty much all the time, when you jump on an opportunity that is promising to increase your income and set you free from struggle, you find yourself sitting under the Christmas tree like I did years ago, watching everyone else laughing and enjoying success while you sit there, disappointed and disillusioned.

It doesn’t have to be like this . . . you can be grinning and laughing and skipping all the way to the bank . . .

You can decide that no matter what has happened in the past, no matter what you have tried to achieve . . . it’s your time to open the most incredible gift you can give yourself.

It’s your time to stretch, to believe, to become, to break through, to live the life of your dreams.

You CAN do this.
