I learned a while back from my father aboutsuccess and he never failed to repeat the simple message that he learned when he was first starting out in the insurance field that “Successful people do what unsuccessful people don’t do”. So I started looking into the difference between the highly successful and people who talk a big game on how they are going to be successful “someday”.
Does success require self development? Of course, books and audio CD’s are key.
SUCCESS MINDSET
Through researching success, I learned from Brian Tracy in his book: No Excuses, that most people live on “someday isle”, meaning that someday they will take the vacation of their dreams, someday they will start that exercise program, someday they will get their finances under control and get out of debt. Most people do not achieve success and unfortunately, 80% of the population lives on “someday isle” and I have learned that unless you are sick and tired of truly being sick and tired, you will never get off that island and start creating the life of your dreams.
Success driven people may be hearing music to your ears and others will go back to their everyday lives but know in the back of their heads there is a way out. In a terrible economy like this, we have to look at this time having more opportunities than ever and to be able to help one another more than anything. I believe the new way of success in the future is to become an entrepreneur and to become something bigger and better than anything we can learn in school or being on the 40 year plan. Our potential is bigger than anything our minds can comprehend, so why not start now?
CREATE SUCCESS TODAY, NOT TOMORROW
Why not get off your rear end and go make a difference and try to be successful? Or are you going to go home after sitting in traffic to and from work and watch the evening news only leaving 2 hours afterwards to be free and have relaxation time. That isn’t what life is all about, at least from my perspective and I am not trying to speak for anybody but me, but NOBODY is living life to the maximum we are CAPABLE of and thinking of success in the long term, period.
I have noticed over the years that most individuals who are participating in the 40 year plan do not feel like they deserve success or that it is unattainable. We all deserve much more than whatever our current situations are handing to us and it is up to us to make the difference, not point the finger, but rather take responsibility and realize how much opportunity is smacking you right in the face!
Success is NOT a scary thing, it’s a beautiful thing. Through being an entrepreneur, and helping others reach their maximum potential, the feeling is the most gratifying thing you can experience. Success is not something that falls from the trees. Success is the most gratifying thing ever imaginable once you create what it is as goals that you want to achieve.
Here is some questions that only YOU can answer to see if you need to change things for yourself and your family:
1) Are you absolutely miserable getting up out of bed to do a job that you are getting SOMEBODY ELSE wealthier?
2) Can you give your family the BEST that life can offer?
3) Without worrying about money, can you take your partner out for a nice night out once a week or even twice?
4) Can you go on a vacation at the drop of a hat to any location and enjoy the paradises of a distant land with no stress and pure relaxation?
5) Are you struggling to put your child through college?
These questions might make you look at things about success and what you need to achieve greatness in your life and think in a completely different light.
