When we recognized this it transforms our lives. As coaches, principals, innovators, we don’t run companies, we don’t run people, we deal with people one by one, and one action each time until they recognize that there should be no excuses in life whatsoever.
The 10 Excuses Successful People Never Make
- It’s too hard.
- We have actually always done it this way.
- I could’t do that– I’m not good enough.
- But there’s no time; I’m also busy.
- I’m not prepared. It’s not the right time.
- But that’s not what I want to do.
- But nobody listens me.
- But that does not apply to me.
- But I’ve tried.
- It’s not my fault.
How much of your success would you claim is up to you– your choices, your activities, and your behavior– versus outside conditions.
If your way of thinking is that you’re at least 85 % responsible for succeeding– which simply means 15 % depends on the direction the wind blows– you’ll likely be successful.
No Excuses
If you blame your issues and failings—big or small, personal or professional– on other individuals, conditions beyond your control, or simply simple rotten luck, you may be doomed to fail because no excuses should be tolerated and these are excuses.
Success doesn’t come easily; no excuses should be big enough to prevent you from achieving your goal.
There simply shouldn’t be any reasons or excuses. You have everything within you succeed and triumph over all adversities, both internal and external.
As the saying goes, “they can’t put a good man down”. The same goes for achieving success, there should never be any excuses.
