After Thanksgiving
The refrigerator is full of of mouth watering, turkey, cranberries, sweet potatoes and stuffing. In the corner of the kitchen counter are several of the families favorites home made desserts. Everything else is put away, you would never know we had a feast just yesterday!
Black Friday, or the day after thanksgiving, for most people getting great shopping deals. I love a great deal and in this economy, there is nothing like saving money. This year I was not a typical day after thanksgiving for me. Which made me start to think about this topic more and more. What do most people do the day after thanksgiving?
I have done the waiting in lines for the hot items, I have done the early door busters, I have even purchased some of my best items on Black friday. Everybody is not out shopping, so what do you do the day after thanksgiving?
Today my son had his first wrestling tournament. Now I have been in wrestling a long time, but this is the first time we have ever had a competition the day after thanksgiving. We usually have one that Saturday but this is the first time my kids ever wrestled the day after thanksgiving. It was actually really nice. I love to watch him wrestle and the team bonding we have as parents is great. I am lucky to be able to be with them. My mom always comes to the meets, so I even got to see my mom today too!
I decided that the Day after Thanksgiving another day to appreciate what you have!
Great day and so much to be thankful for! My whole family was together yesterday, even my oldest came home for a quick dinner and of course, to have mom do some laundry! LOL Today, the day after thanksgiving, was day one of a our first wrestling tournament. Wrestled 5 schools and as a team only lost 2 matches! We kicked butt! Tomorrow is individual tournament. Up and out early again….best part is…making money while out ENJOYING LIFE! So thankful for working for myself and the ability to make money!
