Do your blog posts need a little SPICE?  Would you like to make them easier to read?  I am going to give you 6 easy ways to implement into your posts, giving them an attractive and easy to read feel, whenever a reader enters your online world!

Take your Blog Posts to the next level!

  • #1 – IMAGES!

This is possibly the most important, for an eye catching blog post! People are very visual, and nice looking images are pleasing to the eye!  Having 1 or 2 images in a 200 – 500 word blog post will make your posts much more attractive!

This includes videos! Vlogging is becoming very popular, because of the marketing strategy, Attraction Marketing.  Adding a video in your post will also count as one of your images.

  • #2 – Links

Add back links, as well as internal links.

What is the difference between those two?

A Back Link will link to a website that navigates away from your website. Ex – click on the link above “Vlogging“.  I actually linked that to the Wikipedia website. This will increase the search quality of your blog posts, when someone is searching for the topic that you have written about. It also adds credibility to your reader, as well as to Google.

An Internal Link will link to another page within your own website or blogsite.  Ex – click on the link above “Attraction Marketing”. That is linked to another Business Tip of the Day post about Attraction Marketing that I wrote. This keeps people engaged on your website, ultimately building relationships and giving your reader more compelling content.

*Tip – Always make sure it opens in a new window. All you do is check the box        that states “open in new window” when you make the hyper-link.

  • #3 – Less is More

Generally speaking keep it shorter! People are busy and want good content, but in less time. SO learn to write posts in 200 – 600 words.  By the time I am done with this post, it will be about 600 words.  My average post is about 400 words.

Obviously there are exceptions. But for the average reader Less IS More!  I know I am certainly that way when I read blog posts.

  • #4 – Blog with Colors & Chunks

Keeping it colorful will KEEP your readers attention, and colors please the eye!  Notice each of the 5 headlines are colored.  Although, as with your content, the amount of color you add also holds the same standard “less is more”Yellow, Red, and Blue are three colors that are great to use!

Also, using Bold– even in black with specific words that you want to stand out makes a post attractive.

Write in CHUNKS. Space your paragraphs double, even triple sometimes!  That is “writing in Chunks”.  Double space your sentences as well. What I mean by that is, click the space bar twice after each punctuation mark at the ending of a sentence.  Also, write shorter paragraphs, about 1 – 3 sentences long.

  • #5 – Borrowing Blog content

When you have a subject that you are going to blog about. Read other content and “borrow” paragraph’s from here and there. This is especially helpful when you are first learning how to blog.  However, be careful, you need to learn about copy write laws before attempting to borrow too much content.

  • #6 – Call 2 Action!

Ending your posts with some sort of “Call to Action” will keep your readers engaged with you even more.  If you have something to sell, lead them to the next step to learn more about that product/service.

For example, I sell Viral Blogging platforms. So my call to action would say something like:  Click Here to learn more about getting an insane amount of traffic to your website!  And then I would hyper link Click Here to give that person more information.

If you want your reader to follow you on social media, end your post with something like:  Follow me on Pinterest for daily inspiration….OR…..Follow me on Facebook.  Or even ask to “share” instead of follow you.

Any way that you can keep your readers connected with you, will make your content more valuable and credible.

Apply these 6 tips to your Blog posts, and see an over night difference!
