How Hating Numbers Could Change My Way Of Doing Business!

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Now I hate numbers because I thought in all my career they will help me but in fact destroyed my whole approach to helping people.

Does it sound familiar: “Just make one more phone call, just hit up one more conversation, just meet one more new person every day and you will make it!”

I tell you. It did not help me, it won’t help you and that is why so many people suffers and will fail too.

Once I was fed up by being scared to pick up the phone once more, sending an other email I thoughts that let’s move to a bigger scale and leave the rest to the bigger numbers. That is when I tried out facebook robots. Not just simple ones that can cause me to loose my facebook account but really sophisticated ones. Once I showed one by a screen capture video one of my friend asked for an affliliate link no matter how high the price was.

But I hate it… do you know why? It made me think of people as numbers. “I’ll add 40 more today and I will be happy.” But what can one do with 4000 friends who doesn’t give a bleep when you make  a status update about your latest greatest gadget which will change everyones life. They are living, struggling, happy or sad and they need care like everyone and everything else.

I looked out of the window and I watched the trees, flowers, plants I care about every day. Then thought about that thing doing something even while I’m sleeping and I called that doing the right thing for people I want to help.

There is something growing in me  which may be just an infant feeling. Just a little bit more care about the world around me but I got touched and changed my way of thinking. I became someone who can help, who sees people not just facebook accounts and prospects coming straight at me on every corner.

You know how much freedom I felt talking to a lady today? Not thinking on how to close her but gently asking about her directions in life and discovering her goals and passions? She seemed so happy. It felt like taking  a closer look on a single flower by stopping the crazy bike ride through the fields.

It doesn’t matter what you do for living. At some point everything is about interaction and when you get to that point… believe me you will be glad you do it with love.

This is exactly how I approach people in my circle of influence. Don’t you want to be loved for what you are doing? Tell me when you are ready for  a change by requesting it below!
