International Day of Dance

Some days ago we celebrate the “International Day of Dance” on the 29 Abril and was instituted by CID (International Committee of the Dance) of the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural) on the year 1982.

Why on the 29 of Abril ?

It was the the anniversary of the master french Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810) he stood out by writing a set of carts of Ballet in its epoch “Letters sur la Danse”.One of his propose was assigned expressiveness dance through pantomime, simplifying the implementation of the steps and subtle movements. On Brasil this day is also remember by the incontestable Marika Gidali also a ballet dancer who founded with ”Décio Otero the Ballet Stadium” at 1971 at São Paulo to show the new wave to make and enjoy dancing.

This day is so important to highlight the dance as part of the human culture along the time and sometimes is not so valued as it should be .

The Tango

For me personality the land of the Dancing is Argentina where we can see the Tango.The dance has so many energy and power and all movements are well study it is a pleasure to see it.Tango dance is essentially walking with a partner and the music. The speed and the movements are very important so nothing can fail. You can see a good dancer of Tango who transmit a feeling of the music to the partner ,leading them effectively throughout the dance.

The curios of this is that tango dancing relies on heavily on improvisation but of course there are “basic steps” that must me learned.

Tango orillero
Salon tango
Tango nuevo
Tango tradicional
Tango con corte y quebrada
Tango de fantasía
Show tango

Tango is a culture like other dancing over the world ,but for me who mention dancing, Tango is always one of the top of my list.

TANGO IS: Fire; Power ; Sweat ; Energy ; Drama ; Passion ; Love … VIVA EL TANGO.
