Have you been looking for 5 ways to show your kids you love them? There are tons of ways to shower your kids with affection and love, but it’s not always what they think it should be!
Chances are, you have been looking for more information on how you can show your kids that you love them, and you just haven’t found what you were looking for yet. You want to bring them up in a loving home, but you also aren’t sure if the methods you had considered were creative enough!
This is why I am here to share with you not only the 5 ways to show your children that you love them with all of your heart, but how you can assure them that your love is genuine, that they are secure, and how they can pass that onto others!
5 Ways to Show Your Kids You Love Them Without Merit
If you really want 5 ways to show your kids you love them without conditions or strings attached, and that you love them for who they are, then here is a list that I follow daily!
1. Love your children unconditionally. Your childen may have a deep seated struggle, and at a very early age, this may be something unlike what we experience as adults.
Whether it’s bedwetting, bad grades, or they have done something that they think is awful, you don’t stop loving them. They need to know that no matter what, they have your love all of the time.
2. Spend time with your children. It’s so important that you let your children know that they are a priority! They need to know that they ARE first in your life, no matter what. This means that no, they don’t come after:
- Shopping
- Concerts
- Spa days and more
Once you have children, your life revolves around them, so if you are NOT committed to this life, then don’t have children.
3. Be affectionate with your children. Loving your children is something you do, not something you talk about. This involves what I’ve listed above already, but you MUST show them. Hug them, kiss them, and smile at them even when they cry. Let them know that they are important enough to do these things while in the presence of other individuals. They need to feel cherished and adored.
4. Be there. When your kids have school functions or sporting events, you need to be there. If you don’t show up, then they don’ believe that they are a priority on your list. No matter what it takes, attend ballgames, cheerleading events, practices, and above all, stay involved. If you know that there is a fundraise, be a part of it!
5. Believe in them! This is one of my biggest 5 ways to show children that you love them! Believe in them! If you don’t, they won’t! Above all, believe in them no matter what, and make it known that you do. Anytime they set out to do something at school, or try a new sport, tell them that they can do it, and don’t belittle them if they don’t appear to have the talent you think they should have.
5 Ways to Show Your Children You Love Them Even if You Hurt
As mothers, we all go through our own trials and tribulations. This is no fun, and it’s really difficult, but it’s a part of life. As parents we have to be strong, even when it’s hard to do.
It’s a MUST to show your children that you love them, even if you are going through a separation, a divorce, or even a death in the family. This is the most important skill you will ever learn in your life
