Weird Stuff the New Slate Must Contain. Keep it Straight for Me — Weird Stuff

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

I confess.  I am not very disciplined!  I just saved 20 pictures of caves from a site that’s really pretty cool:  .  It is called odd stuff, while I’m titling this post Weird Stuff and I realize the whole subject of caves may evoke a giant yawn from you, but if it doesn’t definitely go see those.  I’d love to hear your response to the one from Thailand.

I told you two or three posts ago I am going to have to tell you what’s on my mind regarding my new start.  Believe me, I haven’t forgotten.  I think about it just about constantly.  I went to the second or third movie I’ve been to (count that as seen as well) this year of 2012.  It was Denzel Washington in Flight.  It may well be why I came around to using Weird Stuff to wrap this post.

What’s Weird Stuff to Me May Not Necessarily Be Weird Stuff to You

had an article about the movie with a couple quotes I’d like to utilize here:  … screenwriter John Gatins (on a flight he took in the 90′s) “was seated next to an off-duty pilot, and the screenwriter couldn’t figure out initially why he was so unnerved by his seatmate’s occupation. And then it hit him: The pilot was an ordinary man. “I want pilots to be somebody who would take a bullet to get me to JFK,” Gatins said. “And here was this guy with the potential to reveal that he wasn’t a god.””

Don’t Be Surprised If What Follows Seems Like Weird Stuff to You — It’s Real Weird Stuff to Me

I have a haunting suspicion that I may be way too weird here and no one will be able to relate to this, so I have a begging request of you that if you know I’m not alone in my thinking here (about to be revealed), could you, would you, please leave me a comment?  You don’t have to spill anything you don’t want to, you could just say something like you really are not as weird as you think.  Thanks.

So, anyway, here’s one of America’s great actors — clearly leading a sullied life and you know you’d never want to be in a plane that he is piloting and then he clearly is a whiz bang pilot for the situation, and then . . . .

Well, my problem is the dilemma when a person lives their life as close to “good”, “perfect”, whatever, except for [fill in the blank] and the excoriation begins and it’s like all the “good” part gets thrown out with the bathwater (so to speak).  That is a weird stuff problem that has plagued me the last twenty some years.

So That Was One Weird Stuff Thingy.  Here’s Another.  Plenty of Weird Stuff.

I ran across this question today, as I meandered about on the web:  Six Surprising Signs You May Not Be Getting Enough Sleep? and my curiosity led me to a slide show here:

I’ve become more humble about what I know and really don’t know, kind of like this lad right here.  [[Thank You Alessandro Zangrilli + Wikipedia  <>]]

Weird Stuff

Anyway, that slide show may open your eyes, too.  Have you been surprised by crying unexpectedly lately? Eaten a whole refrigerator.  Or, any other Weird Stuff?

Or you could always read me and why I’m feeling a little anxious here:  /anacarin/blog/the-specter-of-sleeping-sickness/
