Blessed Friendship

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

How I do look forward to tomorrow!  I have had more than my fair share of blessed friendships in my life and tomorrow I shall renew one of my longest standing.

BUSINESS PARTNERS hand in hand with blessed friendship

Many say, “don’t go into business with friends or family”.  I can understand the reasoning behind that.  There are many tensions, lots of stress, to business; no matter how experienced you may be, and no matter how well matched you may seem.

Fortunately for me, pretty much I believe, anyone who can work with me day in and day out, and don’t forget with me there are mood swings and thoughts in disarray, ( a nice clean up from thought disorder, don’t you think?), has to be a standout in their own right.  And, this blessed friendship I have mentioned, is one that stood that particular test of time!

QUANTIFY: much more than just blessed friendship

As I look back on this friendship of more than a score of years, I am impressed with the impact our being business partners has had on the friendship itself, and more, on the growth each of us can personally attest to.

It is really a delight to share such a variety of memories of people, places, things, knowledge sought for, places we’ve gone, lessons learned, sorrows worked through that simply would not have been a part of our blessed friendship without the additional “pile on” of the business experience.

SWEETNESS AND SUCH COMFORTABLE RELAXATION with BLESSED FRIENDSHIP

I look forward to getting together with her with such a sense of comfort.  That is something I can really get excited about right now.  I feel I have been working hard with fewer results than I expect for too long.  I’ve needed to “just be”, and that is something I can count on being able to do with her.

As far back as I can remember – well, at least back to third grade, I can remember valuing the friendships I’ve had.  To my cringing shame, I am all too well aware of friendships left puzzled and hurt in the wake of my episodes with bipolar.

This friendship is all the more blessed for my remembering in the very worst of two of my illnesses (ten years apart) this blessed friend was able to push past a rejection based in insanity.  No amount of money or words or gifts can repay!  Even one blessed friendship is worth more that gold.

They look like friends we would easily adopt into our group of friends.  It seems we know them already. Photo by fabola on flikr Thanks, Fabola!
