Life is War – The Missing Ingredient

Success… It’s simple, not easy. 

It doesn’t happen by chance, there are clues that everyone who is successful leaves behind.

In the end though, with all the training, all the mentors, all the knowledge and personal development, there is one thing that beats it all to death.

Unshakable purpose…

Or Consistent Hard Work – Yes Taking Massive Action and working harder than the next man or women will make miracles happen.

An hour of doing is worth five of theorizing, planning, and study.

I know this because I was stuck in the habit of learning all day with no action, and you know where it got me…

Absolutely nowhere.

It wasn’t until I started acting ceaselessly that results happened.

Massive action is the secret of success.

If you ask anyone who is successful how they did it they will tell you straight up Hard Work.

Tooth and nails grinding to the bone if need be.

The grind is the missing piece in most people’s lives. Most people are afraid to get dirty and bleed a little bit.

As for me I never had a problem with hard work… Being a Bering Sea Fisherman in Alaska will make you hard and driven. just like a nail.

The problem is that it doesn’t necessarily transfer well to online work. But regardless of that, I thought I didn’t have it in me since I never worked behind a screen.

So I learned, and learned and learned…. With minimal results.

And then one day I said screw it and started acting like I was on the deck of a long liner on the Arctic Ocean in the dead of winter.

I realized that business and working online can be just as intense as fishing if you are focused and ruthless, get methodical and put the power of success behind every action.

People often fail to act because they’re afraid… They freeze up, and if they only knew that the minute you get started the fear dissolves and you gain power.

Working online is cutthroat, but in a different way, there is no time or room for vacillation or timidity.

The only way you’re going to get what you want is to go out and get it. No program is the secret, no mentor is going to tell you the way, and there are no free handouts.

Every technical skill you could ever need or strategy is at the tip of your fingers…

And the generalized excuses of no time or money are loads of crap and stop anyone who uses them dead in their tracks.

I used them so I know…

And the moment you admit the truth, that your life and success are ultimately up to you and no one else you become a different person.

The admittance of responsibility rarely happens overnight, it typically will take time and tremendous pain until a person breaks through the fear and re prioritizes their life.

Once that happens the hard work comes easy. When you can link more pain to being broke and helpless to taking action and overcoming mental laziness your life will change.

Because it really is all about the hustle… Without it nothing will work, but if you can get yourself to work hard and do whatever it takes you can have everything you want.

I’ll tell you a simple formula for success –

1. Definite Goal – You’ve gotta know exactly what you want with total clarity. Clear enough in fact that you can explain it to a five year old and they can understand it plain as day.

2. Organized Plan – I know exactly what I am going to do for the next thirty years, and nothing will stop me. The more you know how, the better off you are. Time frames and all that jazz are the secret; your sub-conscious mind knows how to get what you want.

You just have to give it the right marching instructions so to speak.

(The Goal and Plan together make your VISION – The Vision is everything, it will cause you to take action on level you heretofore undreamed of.)

3. Massive Consistent Action – This is it, this is the final piece to a solid plan of attack. Without this you’re just building sand castles and every distraction that comes along will crash through them like waves.

But if you know what you want and how you’re going to get it – then act relentlessly, as though that goal is your birthright then nothing can stop you.

I’ll say it again – “When a man is willing to stake his entire future on the single turn of wheel he is sure to win.”

That’s a quote from Think and Grow Rich and hold true on every plain of existence.

Believe it – Once you do, you will overcome all fear and Take Action like you never have in your life.

When that happens you can confidently say to yourself – Beast Mode Engaged.

I came to all this one day when I was at the gym thinking about what got me through the hell of commercial fishing in the worst conditions on the planet.

I fished the frigid waters of Alaska for eight years…

I thought about how I overcame the pain, the freezing winds that cut like a knife, and the long wet sleepless nights covered in blood on the hardest boats the world has ever seen.

I use to look at it like war – My first captain on the Constellation told me once that all he could relate fishing to was war. And when you’re in war you have no choice but to act.

If you don’t act you die.

And I shifted my entire view on life… LIFE IS WAR; you are forever fighting with yourself for your right to live the life you desire.

And the sooner you win the war, the sooner you get the life you want.

The war is on – Over three billion years of evolution has got you where you are today, start acting like it.

As for me Ill change the world or die trying, and that’s that.
