Alan

A wife walks into her husband's office looking worried, says she wants to help a young man she has been talking to online, and then explains that it is not her help he needs. Alan tells that story properly, and it is the warmest thing on a blog that otherwise runs on belief and affirmation.

He is not credulous, which matters in this genre. One post takes on the claim that a particular fruit cures cancer and refuses it. Another asks whether there is real evidence that people can heal themselves, and treats the question as a question.

The belief material leans on Bob Proctor and on visualisation done as an exercise in steps rather than as wishful thinking, alongside posts on gratitude and on building self esteem in children.

Then there is the silliness. A dinosaur photographed crashing a wedding party. A prank involving a Ferrari. A fairground ride that made a teenager pass out twice.

Read the story about his wife first. It tells you who is writing everything else.
