How to Create Backlinks

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

First, you might ask:

What are Backlinks?

Good question!

At first we had no idea either. We knew they had something to do with the internet but didn’t really think they were that important.

How wrong we were.

Backlinks (or incoming links) are when other websites promote your website within their own pages directing readers to visit your page through hyperlinks (clickable links).

Why are They Important?

Another great question!

There are two major reasons for having backlinks:

  1. They can measure how popular your website is with referrers. The more reputable and prominent your referrers are, the more you have established your site to be worth looking at by others.
  2. The second reason is related to your rank in search engines. The more backlinks you have, the more popular you are considered to be in the Internet world and the higher Google will rank you.

How Do You Get Them?

We are on fire now!

We have put together a couple of “How To” videos to help you get acquainted with how easy they are to create.

How To Create Backlinks: Part One:

Even when you embed your video into a blog add the video URL in the blog and make it stand out…

How Important Are They?

So hopefully by now you have come to realize just how important creating backlinks is to your marketing.

It’s like the oil that keeps your car running smoothly – without it you would end up with a burned out motor and a lifeless body.

The same can be said about backlinks and your website. Without them your ranking may remain dismal and your website may end up being lifeless itself with little or no organic traffic.

It Will Soon Become a Habit

We know you are thinking that this is something else that you have to do, but we believe that it is an important part to creating organic traffic to your websites and videos.

Once you have done it a couple of times it will become a habit for you and you will probable find yourself going back over your previous videos and doing the same thing (we did!)

This information should be shared with everyone you know that has a website or a Youtube channel so get it out there. Email the video links, post them on Facebook and your other social media outlets. Someone will thank you for it.

Leave your comments on how effect backlinks have been for you below – all feedback is appreciated!
