Seminole Hard Rock Tampa changes its attendance policy

Effective May 1st 2013 the new attendance policy for the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa hotel and casino will take effect.  According to the post on the itsallyoureview.com forum, Beginning May 1st…Attendance: 1 Point for first day and 1/2 point for every day afterward. Black out days will be 2 points per day, when it used to be 1 point for three days, period.  This means that besides not having sick days, a flu may cost you your job if you are unlucky enough to get sick during blackout days.

According to the memo this is a corporate HR change and not only a single department ,( Table Games) change as many people think.  Many people think this is a retaliatory move from the part of management after last holidays massive call outs.

To me this change of policy from Seminole Hard Rock Tampa was not a surprise but something expected from the corporate world.  And the worse part is that this is not getting any better.  But unfortunately “It is what it is”, that what they taught us when we first got here.

What are the choices I have to deal with this changes on the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa?

The good news is that, doesn’t matter what happens in our lives and in our work we always will have choices.  What are ours?  We can cry and whine all we want about the policies of a legal corporation, or we can break FREE from the corporate world once and for all.  If you love the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, is ok for you to stay there and work your ass for thirty or forty years, but in the meanwhile I am working on a Plan B.

It doesn’t require you going back to school or college and waste of your time learning a new skill of life.  If you can use a computer you have all the necessary skills to start a new life for you and your family.  A new life of freedom from your boss, freedom from our customers most of all.  It doesn’t require you talking to anybody at all if you don’t want to and best of all it doesn’t require you to be chasing friends and family trying to sell them on the next best shake or product you just found out.

Three simple steps can change your life in a moment.  And it requires only one thing.  A real decision to change your life, the desire for a better life for you and your family.  Until you make that decision you will be depending on the decisions made by your boss, in this case Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, or for whoever you are working for.
