You are not alone in your feelings.

  • Job felt the pangs of sorrow.
  • Paul Struggled with infirmity.
  • Jesus was anxious.

You are not alone in the situation.

  • Christians are a family. Gal. 3:21-18
  • Jesus cares – Heb. 3:14. He experienced. Heb. 2:9-10
  • We may always approach our Father through His Son.

Job 1: What does Job not see?

Is there more than meets the eye?  There was for Job: Loss of health, loss of children., loss of prosperity, un-supported spouse.

How do you respond to difficulty?

Complain? Blame God?

Realize what Satan is doing?

Go with the attitude: This is Satan, I’m not giving in. See now you can look at the situation.

Rest in God’s Grace

This was the reason for Paul: Matt. 7:7

Paul pleaded (Gr. parakaleo) for his thorn to be removed. From what we know, it never was removed. Paul continued to serve the Lord, learning that His grace was sufficient.

2 Cor. 13:7-9

In times of weakness we become more keenly aware of our reliance upon God. Don’t give in and rest in God’s grace.

No situation has power over YOU.  Situations lack the power to prevail us.  The only thing that can keep me from Heaven is me.  Romans 8:35-39

Situations define us only to the degree that we permit.

Why are you here?

Eph. 4:15 We have a body to build up. Heb. 10:24, John 4:19 Jesus shows how to worship In spirit and truth.

Where to worship?

This is where it begins. God is seeking people and aware. Heb. 12:28 Worship is in reverence

Rev. 4:11 Worthy are you. God centered worship is what worship should be.

Does everyone have that attitude?

Romans 1:18-25 They turned away from God.

Are you self centered?

Isaiah 29:13, Jeremiah 7:8, Amos 5:21-14 Why does God not accept their worship? Verse 10 Showed how they were living.

Micah 6:6-8, Isaiah 1:10

3 simple thoughts:

  1. How God used this behavior?
  2. How does God feel?
  3. Are you changing them?

Way you act from Sun. to Mon. to Sat.?

God knows everything we are doing.  Do you think God will accept your worship?

Vs. 11-15 He doesn’t want those sacrifices.

Their behavior hasn’t changed. You can not substitute worship for wickedness.  He knows all about their behavior. Vs. 16 Wash yourselves.

They were doing evil. Remember confession? Psalm 51:14-17, Matt. 5:23, James 1:21 Be doers of the Lord.

First put away filthiness.  There has to be a change of heart.

Think about what God has done for you. Stand in awe of God everyday. Get things right and become a Christian and a child of God.

Follow these steps to become a Christian and a child of God:

  1. Believe Mark 16:16, John 3:6
  2. Repent Acts 2:38, 3:19
  3. Confess Acts 8:37-38
  4. Be Baptized Gal. 3:27

Grow in God’s word and listen to more audios to study God’s word here so you know you realize you’re not alone.
