So you know that blogging is an amazingly effective marketing strategy. But still you find yourself stressing on what to blog about. 

Sometimes, you spend all day running around your home office straightening up every pen or piece of paper that is out of place, in hopes that if you just had ‘5- more minutes’ the most brilliant blog topic will magically pop into your head. 

As creative entrepreneurs, we tend to have lots of ideas and passions to pursue. But in order to translate that into dollars and cents, you gotta get your message, product and service out there for the world to see. 

Consistently. 

The trick is to get your business or service in front of massive amounts of people by providing value.

So now that you have decided to blog, it’s time to get down to the nuts and bolts on what to blog about and how often. 

Here’s the deal.

Blog as often as your audience wants or needs to hear from you. For some, that could mean everyday. For others…it’s once a week or once a month. 

Whatever time frame you choose, make sure you leave your audience wanting more. You always want them to look forward to hearing from you.

When it comes go blog topics, there is no need in the world to stress out about it. There are literally hundreds of things to talk about, and once you get going it will take on a life of it’s own.

1. Blog about your journey. Now, it may feel a little uncomfortable at first. I get it. It can be a little scary to share your personal experience. But…Enquiring Minds Want to Know!

Now that doesn’t mean you have to go all “Enquirer” or “Reality TV” on us. No need for an out and out personal expose!

But, people do genuinely connect with who you are and that comes from sharing a bit of yourself.

Blog about some of the challenges you have faced and how you have overcome them. That will help other people.

Because, guess what? 

Other people have the same experiences. And the more you can help other people, the faster your business grows. 

2. Another great blog topic is industry news! Whether you are in the network marketing, dentist, pet care or entertainment industry, you can position yourself as a leader by delivering content about your profession.

Answer the questions that people want to know, and you will be known as the “go-to source” for relevant news and information.

3. Feature interviews with other industry leaders. You can do video, audio or print interviews with the top income earners in your field. Pick their brains about what it takes to be successful and share that knowledge with your followers.

4. Company reviews! Since you are staying up to date on what is hot and what is not…you can blog and do third-party unbiased reviews on popular companies and products. Doing reviews on products and companies people are searching for is a great way to provide valuable content to the community while building an audience.

5. Teach what you learn. As an entrepreneur, you naturally have a thirst for knowledge. You are continually reading new books, learning new skills and implementing new strategies.

As you are learning new things, start to learn them as if you were preparing to teach it to someone else. First, it helps you to absorb the information on a higher level. Second, as you learn a new skill, it gives you additional knowledge that you can pass along to others. So share, share, share!
