A good compiling resume is one or two page document summarizing your personal career objectives, professional experiences, skills, achievements, and educational background. Your “Sample Resume” always has to start with heading, which should contain your full name, exact address and contact information, such as email, phone, website if any and etc. Body of your Sample Resume should be broken into the following sections: career objective, profile/summary, professional experience, achievements, education and references. Your career objectives should be brief, right to the point, one or two sentences, it should give your potential future employer an idea how you plan to advance in your professional life and career. Your profile or a summary should describe very briefly who you are and how your skills and experience apply to a job you are interested in. You have to use this section to attract your future employer’s attention, try not to go overboard, just stay professional. Your experience listing in you “Sample Resume” should include information about one to five jobs you’ve held previously, starting from your present job or latest you had, and listing all previous jobs in chronological order. Listing should include date range of your employment, name of the companies or person(s) you have worked for, and city and state where company was located. List your job title and main responsibilities, with emphasis on duties applicable to the type of work you’re seeking. Education section in you Sample Resume should include college, as well as any courses or professional certifications that are relevant to your future position and career development. References section in your resume should include names and contact information of person(s), such as phone, email etc, who you worked with and who can provide very positive feedback about your skills and experiences relevant to your future position.
How to make your resume attractive
In the competitive, Internet-driven world of job searches your resume represents you to your potential future employers. It serves as your weapon to attract attention, get an interview or a job. A good resume will make you stand out from other job seekers and candidates. Think of your “resume” as your sales pitch, you need sell yourself and your skills in the best possible way in the marketplace. Invest some time and research into developing your resume. You have to make sure, that your “Sample resume” is well written and error free. Double check your grammar and spelling, make sure that all company and other names, such as city, college names are spelled properly. A resume containing error even minimal, will give impression to your future employer that you don’t have attention to detail, that you don’t take time to double check your work, and that you’re poor communicator. Additionally, make sure that your “sample resume” is formatted well. Stick to basic fonts, such as Arial or Times New Roman, keep the font size and color standard, and do not go overboard with bold, Italicized or large-cap text. Make sure that your resume looks nice when viewed online, as well as when printed out. Well written “good resume” can make a difference between being stuck at your current job and getting an interview to get job of your dreams.
