Just leave me alone. Just leave me alone! Why can they not just leave me alone?

Stupid Self-Talk?

I got up this morning at 7 am (I was suddenly awake) and for once I decided to get up before the cats would wake me. The plan was to feed them and spend my hour of blogging before I would start cleaning the house (which I usually do on Saturday).

I had just opened everything I need to start blogging. Folders, browser, files.

See, my goal since yesterday is to spend an hour to prepare as many blogposts (3-5) every day and to publish them throughout the day. Dave Wood had just interviewed John Wells the other day and I was really jelous of him. Because he blogged – more than once a day. So my new goal is to blog 3-5 times a day. And to learn everything there is to learn about blogging. He didn’t even do any SEO, he just produced blog posts. Hey, I can do that too! Let’s see what happens in the next 6 months in my life and the best part, anybody can do this, too. It’s no science. But I digress.

So, I had just opened all the programs, notes, browser when my girl-friend came into my home-office and said something along the line, she was going to the market to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables and if I could go to the garden and water the plants. And I thought, why can I not do what I had planned to do? Why can “they” not leave me alone?

Oh, you have to know that last night, Noel keep chewing my ear off around midnight demanding his last meal of the day and when I closed the door to the kitchen (where he goes to let me know very loudly and insistantly when he wants food or attention), 2 minutes later Zena sat in front of the door and made her weird noises. She doesn’t meow… much. And I almost hit the ceiling because I was being constantly interrupted. Constantly taken out of my focus and concentration.

WHY CAN THEY NOT LEAVE ME ALONE???

Anyway. Back to this morning.

Being a green personality (more on personality colors) I (found out) like to stick to a plan but I get interrupted constantly. And that’s why I am often very impatient and get mad. I get interrupted by the phone, by the cats, by my girl friend, not to mention Skype, and tons of ideas that pop up in my mind and everything demands my attention.

Anyway. Back to my girlfriend’s demand. She’s right. It’s our garden. We have just planted new plants. They need some water. She’s going to the market and will cook later. So reluctantly I agreed to go.

Back to walking to the tram station

Thinking: why can they just not leave me alone. Just leave me alone… I suddenly realized that exactly the same thoughts had been going through my brain when I still had one of my numours jobs.

Just Let Me Do My Damn Job!!

I probably might have said it out loud too. Now, understanding the personality colors I understand myself better. Too bad I didn’t know about them before. I’m sure I could have dealt with the people and the interruptions better. And that’s why I am writing this, to remind me. It’s not the cats fault or my girl-friend’s fault or all those ideas or even the phone’s fault. I just have to learn how to deal with it. A break could be nice right now. Jotting down the ideas on paper or in a notepad and back to what I was doing… it’ll take practise but now that I know it, I’m sure it’ll get better. I hope.

In the garden

Was it really so bad to go to the garden? No, not really. And when I was standing in front of the wild strawberry field (well, tiny field, bed is more likely) I thought I was glad I went because there were a lot of ripe ones. Ripe for the picking. Yumm!

So, after the watering and picking the berries I had long before started to relax and enjoy the quiet and the sun. I remembered had some whipped cream left from yesterday and imagining breakfast let my mouth water.

But because it was so nice, and quiet I decided to take off my shoes, grab my book and stand in the green gras for a while and read and let the still not too hot sun warm my skin.

By the time I got home an hour later it started to get hot. Glad I went though. Glad my plans got interrupted. I mean – as you can see – I picked up where I left off. Better even, had this idea to write about.

Personality Colors are fascinating and I’m gonna write more about them. Finding out what color I am and other people are and how this knowledge can help me dealing with people around me, in my private life and business life is very very valuable – IMHO.

Why don’t you subscribe to my blog?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Just leave me alone and let me do my work!
