Zig Ziglar<\/strong> became the motivational speaker to millions of people who participated in various Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and Network Marketing companies.\u00a0 He often was a mandatory or highly suggested \u201clisten to personality\u201d by many leaders, speakers and motivational and life coaches.\u00a0 There is not doubt that Zig Ziglar<\/em> made a marked on literally tens of millions of people as you will find his quotes, books, audios and videos in every entrepreneur collection.<\/p>\n

Why did Zig Ziglar become such an icon in the Network Marketing and Sales arena?<\/h2>\n

One real possibility is the fact that he himself became a sales person after returning home from World War II.\u00a0 He continuously improved himself by his curiosity of the human condition.\u00a0 He often would refer to people as good friends, even if they weren\u2019t yet clients.\u00a0 It was this charm that most people in the Network Marketing arena fail to truly study and learn.\u00a0 You see Zig Ziglar<\/em> was all about creating relationships, helping people to get what they need and was a student of the Law of Success coined and demonstrated by Napoleon Hill.<\/p>\n

Who was Zig Ziglar<\/h2>\n

Zig Ziglar<\/em> was born in Lower Alabama and while there is a lot to say about him, his life became publicly interesting in his 40\u2019s. Zig Ziglar\u2019s started speaking when he was 40 and his first book was called \u201cSee you at the top\u201d, published in 1975, it was a stepping stone in to the real way of connecting with people. \u00a0\u00a0He had an unbelievable way of connecting to people, making anyone feel instantly like a friend. \u00a0Those relationships fostered in to a close relationship with people like Jim Rohn (RIP), US Presidents and Margaret Thatcher.\u00a0 Zig Ziglar<\/em> went on to write as many as 30 different books on being positive and leadership.<\/p>\n

Ziglar accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at the age of 45 and ever since that day, Zig Ziglar<\/em> stated that was the turning point of his life. \u00a0His way of thinking to be focused on what the other person\/customer\/client wants, then meeting or exceeding expectations and remaining friendly in the face of opposition. \u00a0\u201cPeople often say that motivation doesn\u2019t last,\u201d\u00a0Mr. Ziglar\u00a0noted in one of his dozens of quotable maxims liberally sprinkled throughout his pep talks. \u201cWell, neither does bathing \u2014 that\u2019s why we recommend [both] daily.\u00a0 No Doubt a biblical scholar of Proverbs with a modern twist of wisdom.<\/p>\n

Prestonwood Baptist Church Pastor Jack Graham, Ziglar\u2019s friend and pastor, said Ziglar \u201ctruly was filled with faith.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was positive. He was hopeful. You just never heard negativity from Zig Ziglar,\u201d Graham said. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t just something he did on a platform. This was who he was. This is how he lived his life. And he helped so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a leader of leaders and a mentor of mentors and all that you can say,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Zig Ziglar<\/strong> dies at the age of 86 in a Dallas Hospital in the suburb of Plano, his memorial service will be at the Prestonwood Baptist Church Saturday (December 1, 2012).\u00a0 I have stated before, God will take you from this Earth for one of two reasons, either you have not learned or done what God intended for you or when you have finished with God\u2019s plan.\u00a0 I would like to think Zig Ziglar was the later.<\/p>\n
