These foods hide in most packaged, prepared and processed products.<\/p>\n<h2>GMO Foods to Avoid<\/h2>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-257\" style=\"margin: 15px\" title=\"GMO foods to Avoid\" alt=\"GMO foods to Avoid\" src=\"\/tonyahamblin\/files\/2013\/01\/wheat-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/>1. Wheat<\/b> \u2013 Although wheat is technically not genetically modified, modern day wheat is also not your grandmother\u2019s wheat. \u00a0As a mutated offspring of the ancient grain, modern wheat is quickly becoming one of the biggest culprits on the food allergy list.\u00a0 Modern day wheat contains a protein called gliadin which binds into the opiate receptors in your brain and in most people stimulates appetite.\u00a0 \u00a0As this common food is found in most pastries, cakes, breads, buns, pancakes, waffles and other baked goods as well as gravies and sauces, this one can be tricky to avoid but certainly not impossible.\u00a0 To read more check out this <a href=\"\/tonyahamblin\/blog\/gluten-free%E2%80%A6-it%E2%80%99s-all-the-rage\/?id=tonyahamblin\">article about gluten allergies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-258\" style=\"margin: 15px\" alt=\"GMO foods to avoid\" src=\"\/tonyahamblin\/files\/2013\/01\/GMO-corn-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/>2.
