When it comes to affiliate marketing<\/a> strategies<\/strong>, a lot of people have their own ideas. And when it comes to something like banner ads, it can be easy to get swept up in the flow of different opinions. Some people really push banner ads, while others say that they don\u2019t even bother to put them on their site. So how do you know which affiliate marketing strategies<\/span> are really going to work? How do you really know if you should put banner ads on your site or not? How do you REALLY know what is going to work when so many people say different things?<\/p>\n

These are all very good questions, and I am going to answer them for you with a few different points.<\/p>\n

Different Things Work For Different People<\/h2>\n

One of the most important things to remember when it comes to affiliate marketing is that, while there are some definite good ideas and some definite bad ideas, there is a grey area where some things just work<\/i> for some people, while they don\u2019t work for others. This can have to do with your marketing style, what kind of content you write, what types of products you promote, or what niche you are in\u2026 but the fact remains that what works for you might not work for someone else, or vice-versa.<\/p>\n

When it comes to banner ads, we definitely find a grey area. Yes, a lot of affiliate marketing strategies will call for banner ads in addition to affiliate links, but other affiliate marketers will swear by the fact that these ads simply waste space without producing enough income to make them worthwhile. So which is the truth? Well, that leads us to our next very important point.<\/p>\n

Test Your Affiliate Marketing Strategies Before Accepting Them As Part Of Your Plan<\/b><\/h2>\n

Testing is extremely important when it comes to affiliate marketing, and whether or not you put banner ads on your site is one of those decisions that will DEFINITELY require some testing! I will say that banner ads will probably not be a good idea unless they are specific affiliate ads of products that you actually believe in, as having random ads (such as Google AdSense) related to your website is usually not a good tactic (though this also works for some people\u2026 again, it is all about testing and what works well for you).<\/p>\n

If, after testing your current affiliate marketing strategies, you find that your banner ads are not earning you any income, then take them down and try something else! You will be able to gauge, fairly quickly, what is and what is not earning you income if you have a steady stream of traffic coming through your site each day. Also keep in mind that, if you are not pulling hundreds of visitors per day, it would not be surprising if your ads did not earn you much revenue, so also take that into consideration. You will need to pull between 500 and 1,000 visitors per day to really see trackable results in terms of how much you are earning.<\/p>\n
