If you want to see the average earnings, please visit the page at www.empowernetwork.com forward Hey, what's going on guys? PolicyQ here. Cassandra Lee, and together we are the Power Couple, man. Welcome to another series of The Inner Circle. Yeah, man.
We're excited to have you here. Absolutely. So today we're going to be talking about how much is too much, right? How much, you know, when do you just, you know, when do you just be, when are you satisfied? When do you stop saying to yourself, you know what, maybe I'm making too much money.
When should I stop? You know, should I just cap my income at this level? You know, that's what we're going to be talking about. We're going to be talking about that specific thing. Absolutely.
I'm ready. That's crazy. I know. Would you ever want to stop your income? No.
Would you ever want to cap your income? No, because if I'm, if I cap my income, I'm limiting what I can make. Therefore I'm limiting seeing the best version of myself. You know, not saying that money makes me the best version of myself, but the things that I can do with money allows me to see what, what I'd be like, right? It's a scoreboard.
If I, the more money I have, the more things I can move in this world, right? I can move more things. And that's the truth. You know, my, one of my things to do in this world is, is to, is to, you know, inspire and impact as many people as I can. And I, I think that the more money I have, the more, the more I'm able to do that.
Yeah. That's powerful. You know, that makes sense. Yeah. Okay.
No, that's cool, man. That's cool. So, so why do we want to bring this topic? Well, simply because I think that sometimes, you know, I've, I've gotten on the phone with a lot of people sometimes in my own personal business. And sometimes what a lot of people normally say is, you know what, I don't want to be too greedy.
You know, I don't want to go for too much. Right. I just want to, I just want to make enough, where I can just do this from home and I can just get paid the same thing I get paid at my job. I mean, because sometimes people base that off of their financial thermostat, you know, some people are uncomfortable with making a lot of money. You know, it's funny.
A lot of people who want to make a lot of money are uncomfortable with making that amount of money. It's like the strangest thing in the world. They want to make more money, but they're not comfortable with making that money. Like if you ask somebody what their income goal is, and then right after you ask them, are you honestly comfortable with making that amount of money? Most of them are going to say, they're probably going to give you like a, like a weird, like a weird response.
Right. If they say, yeah, they're probably saying it now with confidence. If they say no, it's probably because they just don't know if it's real versus scam. That's all the same. Right.
But the truth is that some people are just not comfortable making that amount of money, even though they want to make a lot of money. You know what I'm saying? It's crazy. Cause I remember actually we had, a while back, you probably remember this baby when we got started in our business, we invited a couple of people over to watch a presentation online. It was so funny.
And, immediately what the guy, like, you know, he watched the video and then like several days later he texts us and he's like, this is a scam. That's no way. Right. So in his mind, he only understood one way to make money, which is what he was currently doing. Okay.
And how much he was making per day or per month. So for him to see someone else make more than astronomical amounts of money, it was almost like it was impossible. Like, you know what, how much is too much? It's almost like, you know, that's way too much, you know, like what, you know, there's no way, you know? And I think that, I think that one of the things that my wife mentioned is never to cap your income.
You know, why stop? Because success is almost like, you know, it's like taking your last breath. You know, you just, once you start succeeding, you have to keep, you have to continue to keep doing it. And then you have to, you have to increase the levels of success that you have, which is of course, every single time that we listen to an audio, we read a book or we listen to the inner circle. This is a common thread from successful people.
I mean, somebody successful is never going to tell you to stay at where you are. They're always probably going to push you to go for more. You know what I'm saying? Absolutely. This is some powerful stuff, man.
I hope you guys are ready to take this, this ride with us, on the money train. So one way to test to see your, your financial thermostat is to, to do this quick little exercise. And I think I learned this from someone, I don't remember who, but it was that definitely at an event. You know, like if I say take $500 and spend it like all your needs are met, just spend it. You can't spend it on yourself.
Bills are paid. Everything's paid. So you can't spend it on, on necessities. You got to spend it on something you just want to spend it on. You probably could think of something.
Now if I say, okay, a thousand dollars and you have two hours to spend it, what would you spend it on? How about 3000? How about 10,000? How about 5,000? How about 30,000?
You know, and you had a week to spend it. At that point where you can't really think of anything of what you'd actually spend it on and you had a certain timeframe to spend it on is really what you're comfortable with making. And so you got to think about that, you know, is your goal something that you're uncomfortable with making? And how can you increase the, the comfortability of saying, you know, I'm actually worth this money. I can't, I deserve making this level of income.
What do you think about that? I mean, that's powerful. Right. Cause I mean, think about it. A lot of the times, the reason why we want to make money is simply to pay off the bills and you know, just to pay the thing, just pay all the people off.
I mean, it's weird, right? I mean, why would people want to make money to pay people off, which I understand you want to be responsible and you want to take care of your bills, but shouldn't you want to go for more? Right. And it's funny because the moment that you pay the things off that you owe to other people or your bills or certain things like that, a lot of people kind of start, they just stop realize they just start to start, they just start to realize that what would, what would they honestly do with more money? I mean, would they honestly be able to spend it all?
I mean, some people kind of just, they go like they have a brain fart, like they don't know what to do anymore. I mean, okay, great. Everything's paid off. What else do I use it for? And in the very beginning, it might be simple, but as you continue to increase the money, it's almost like, what would you use it for?
And it's almost like you have to understand that in order to have more, you have to become more right. And in order for you to become more, you have to really align your vision and your purpose with a, with a bigger picture, right? Like a something, something, you know, doing something that goes far beyond just making money, doing something that really impacts and just makes it just really puts this really impacts people in a way where it just changes people's lives. Right. Which is really the reason why we're all in business to help other people out as well as make money.
Right. But I think that there's something where you cross over and you say to yourself, you know what I, what would I use this money for? What can I use this money for? And it's almost like you just have to break past yourself. Like after you're so after you, after you've taken care of yourself and your family and all the things that are important, it's almost like you start stretching out and you start looking further into what you can do for this world and for others.
You don't have a good test to, to check out your, your financial, I guess level is, you know, when, when you look at your bank account, what is the levels that it normally stays in? You know, does it go, is it, is it usually you make like, you know, a few thousand and then it goes to like a hundred bucks, or, it's usually negative. Like most of the time you make a few hundred, it goes back to negative. Like what does your bank account normally look like? That's usually your, your financial, what baby?
Thermostat. Thermostat. Yeah. How much money you're making. Yeah.
And it's annoying because you want to increase that. Or, or maybe you're the type of person that gets thousands of dollars, right? And it, it normally stays at like thousand, a thousand, maybe, maybe two. Exactly. How do you increase that thing to where it like naturally stays at 10,000 if it goes below it, it always just jumps right back up.
How do you increase your financial thermostat? I mean, it's simple. I mean, you know, a great, you know, a great book out there is the secrets of a millionaire mind. And, you know, the, the author in this book, he talks about it, right? How you increase your financial thermostat.
Number one is by getting rid of old files, right? Getting rid of how you were brought up, right? There's a lot of beliefs and a lot of different things that sometimes growing up, we get embedded into our minds, you know, either, either through just seeing, seeing it with our own eyes and seeing how people live, you know, seeing, seeing our family or parents do certain things and how they handle their money or certain things like that, how they go about life or, or maybe them telling you that something was fact or something to be true when it necessarily wasn't true. And of course, you know, experiences where you've might've been, you've might've felt like it was like a traumatized experience, you know, kind of like it became like a traumatized experience. Right.
And, and based on these things, right, it really either holds you back or pushes you forward. And most of the times a lot of people have these negative beliefs. Like for example, growing up, a lot of times that I would hear from my parents in the household would be things, things as far as, you know, like, like for example, they, they, they'd say things like, you know, when I used to work with my dad and someone would ask him how his day was going, he'd, he'd respond in Spanish and he'd say something like, Oh, which, which really means I'm just living the life of a poor man. And I would listen to these things and I would see how my dad would respond to things. And I, and, and, and some of the things just unconsciously I would pick up, right.
I would realize that life was just bitter. It was just about working all the time. It was just about working for others. And it was just about making just enough money to cover the rent and to have food. Right.
Never, it never broke past more than that. Right. Which is kind of annoying because I really believe that there's more than just that. And you see, these are negative beliefs that will hold you back from thinking that making more is not a good thing and you should actually cap your income at a certain level. You know, what were some of the, some, you know, have you had any beliefs or did you ever had any beliefs growing up or anything like that when it came about when it came to money?
Yeah. What were some of them? You know, one of the beliefs I had about money was that I thought I, I'm laughing because it's, it's hilarious. You know, it's kind of funny, like money's just meant to be spent. Right.
You know, that was my thought. Like I, I never knew I didn't have a healthy relationship with money. Let's put it that way. Right. And so my idea or my, my thought process of money was that it, it was, it was hard to come by and, but when it did use it, you know, spend it because the next time you get, it's probably going to be a long while.
So I didn't have a healthy relationship with money. You know, saving wasn't really, you know, something I did effectively, managing it, monitoring it. It wasn't something that I did effectively because it was such a long time when I had money. And then when I actually had it, I wanted to use it. I wanted to use it.
You know, it's like when you get money, you always like to feel like you have money. So buying something is like, it gives you that feeling that you have money. So you buy something to give you that feeling, but then you don't have money for a while. And when you do, you just want to buy again. That was, that was one of my beliefs.
It was just really hard to come by. You know, I hope you can relate to that. Does anyone relate to it at all? I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people who probably think the same way or similar to, but now my relationship with money is, is a whole different ballgame. So, would you think of it, you know, think of what, what was your limiting belief of money?
What is something that you think holds you back about thinking about money? Like what holds you back when it comes to money? What's the thought process that you have when it comes to money? Yeah, absolutely. That's a great question.
You know, when we were, when we went to Cancun, Mexico to the 10x seminar, me and my wife, one of the things that I realized, you know, about money and when it comes to money or how much is too much, you know, I realized that, you know, personally for us, we need to make as much money as possible because money is really a representation of what you do on this earth. You know, it's kind of like the more money you make, the more people you can help. And as well as the more money you make, the more people you're currently helping. Right. So that's kind of how the way we looked at it.
And that was like my biggest realization because then it just didn't become about money. It became about actually, it became more than just about money. It became some, it became, you know, wanting to help more people out. And of course being able to do that, right. Because sometimes, lack of money does not necessarily mean that, you know, you're not a good person or, you know, you're not awesome, but at the same time, you know, having money does improve your living situation and does allow you to start living life a little differently.
You know, one of the things that, a great book that we read, Born to be Rich, right? they, they give a formula out there and they say that this is the formula to, to really living a prosperous life with money and, and, and enjoying others as well. Right. And it's, it goes something like this. It's, it's, it's a love people use money.
And the moment that gets flipped around and it becomes, the other way around, which is love money, use people is when you head into destruction. Right. And I'll, I'll kind of wanted to just bring that point up because I really believe that it's, you know, sometimes, we kind of, have this like a deception or we just don't understand money. Right. Cause I remember when I was a lot younger, I used to think that having too much money, you know, just, you know, it was, you know, why do you need that much money?
You know, what's the reason why you need that much money? And personally for me, and for me and my wife, it's because, you know, I, we want to get to the point where if tragedy hits, you know, because life will throw things at you and, and even though we have been extremely, you know, fortunate to, to have been living up to this point with really nothing, nothing tragic or nothing big happened in our life. We really don't want to wait for something to happen for us to do go and do something about it for us. How much is too much is, is to the point where, you know, tragedy hits and we're not shaken by that. Everything's going to be fine.
You know, because sometimes when you look at how people live or just in the manner of how people are living, right, a lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck. A lot of people are just living life where if one bad thing happens there, you know, it's almost like their entire life can get shaken and you know, how long, how long will it take for them to recover from that? So that's the reason for us why it's so important to just make as much money as possible with no cap, no limit. So we can get to that point, right? Absolutely.
You know, that, that's when life becomes what enjoyable, right? You know, you think about it. If you had more time, would you make more money? If you had more money, would you have more time? You know, they're, they're both very congruent.
They're both the same. You know, money and time are both the same thing. And you think about it, you know, like my husband said, that formula is so powerful. Love people, use money. And sometimes money gets such a big hold on us that we end up using people and loving money or sometimes we don't even love the money.
It's just, we need it so bad that we end up hurting the people around us because we want to get it, right? We exclude the people around us because we need to get it. We isolate ourselves from the people around us because we need to get it. You know, I was just listening to somebody, Chris Record, and he was talking about the five, what does he call it, baby? The five what?
I guess the five S to, you know, getting something. I forgot what it was though. I guess taking care of your, your, your finances. And he says, faith, family, right, fitness, finances, and what was the other one, baby? Faith, family, fitness, friends, and finances, okay.
And so they're just all Fs. And he says, if you, if you can, if you can manage your life with those five parts, faith is your spiritual side, or if, you know, whatever it is, self-development, if you don't, if you're not spiritual, you know, family, because a lot, like I said, a lot of times when people are going after, you know, the money that they're creating or the money that they're generating, they end up isolating themselves from their family when really, you know, you want to be able to include them a part of the journey. Your friends, the same thing, your fitness, your finances, all of them. And so what happens is we just focus on one area and we never, ever, ever include any of the other areas, but how much more successful or, or how much more would you be able to reach the lifestyle that you're looking to generate when you're able to incorporate all of these areas into your life? That is true freedom.
I mean, that is a true lifestyle. And if there's anything that you can get out of this entire training is one, figure out what your financial thermostat is, right? Find out what you're, you're, what you're comfortable with making, what kind of income you're comfortable making, and then incorporate the formula of love people use money and, and also manage those five areas in your life. I mean, those are the five things or four things, I don't remember how much they were, you can get out of today's training. Okay.
And then if you, if you, I'll repeat it one more time, right? Number one, what is your financial thermostat? Number two, what income are you comfortable making? We gave you two exercises that, that help you realize those things. Number three, understand that formula, love people use money.
Okay. Number four, manage the five areas with the using the five F's. Okay. When you have all of that in place, then you can say, okay, you know what, what level of income am I looking to generate? And when you hit it, do you want to just stop there?
Do you want to keep going? I, like I said before, I think the more money you make, the more things you can move in this world. That's how powerful it is. All right. You know, that's pretty much it for me.
Yeah. I mean, no, that's, that's really powerful. I love, I love just reviewing exactly what we talked about. And you know, it's important, you know, so how much is too much, right? Is you know, for, for us, it's just, just not really putting a cap to it.
Right. I mean, really, I mean, money's just a scoreboard, right? It's just a, it just allows you to measure the potential that you can do in this world. Right. At least for, at least that's personally what the way I see it.
Right. But how do you see it? You know, if there's anything that you've gotten from this audio, please do go, if you, if there's any way you can pay, you know, do us a favor, it's just by taking action on it and, and just acting on the how moment that you might, you might've gotten and just, you know, take these notes and apply them into your life. And I really believe that, that in 90 days or less, you know, or, you know, you can start right now to, to becoming the person that you truly want to become. We're excited for you.
We're pumped up for you. And this is the power couple. You
