Get 100 leads to get 10 people to agree to see your presentation, to get just one to sign up. Then, within 90 days, all that work is lost when the new team member decides to give up, this just isn’t for them.

The solution may be hidden in a fantastic new book – “The 7 Reasons Employees Leave” by Leigh Branham. Yes, I know, this is a corporate HR book, not an MLM, or Multilevel Marketing, or Network Marketing, or Home Based Business Book, but, its insights are worth considering for your business.

The major reasons employees leave Jobs can be directly paralleled to why they leave your business.

1. They have a need for TRUST. They really expect you to deliver on your promises. Whatever financial gains you mentioned, they expect. They assess what they were told and judge the honesty, fairness, and openness of the conversations, promises, expectations. Not meeting these is the number one reason people leave. Solution: Tell the truth – don’t oversell expectations, don’t tell them you’ll do something then not follow through.

2. They have a need for HOPE. They expect to see a trickle turn into a stream then a river then a torrent. When they don’t even have a single success under their belt, they get frustrated and run. Help them before bringing on another new team member. Help them with a couple of successes so that they have a skill set to build upon, keep in touch, trickle new techniques, ideas, and suggestions – don’t overwhelm them – let them gain momentum and gain mastery in each technique before adding to it.

3. They need to feel WORTHY and RESPECTED. Probably the biggest obstacle we face is convincing our prospect that YES, they can be successful. Recognize their achievements and accomplishments. I would say to even reward movement towards success. Ensure they know that you view them as an asset, not just a number to achieve your next promotion.

4.They need to feel COMPETENT. When you overwhelm them or set goals too high, failure is inevitable. Set realistic goals with simple steps they can master so that they immediately acknowledge = “Hey, I can do this”. When they feel confident, the exuberance transfers to the prospects with whom they are chatting. Make sure that they have a valid reason to be proud and feel movement towards success.

Hope you consider these as you grow your team.

To our continued success.

Sandeep Kumar

credits to source

There is that awful funnel – you know – its a numbers game funnel.
