Gun control<\/em> is the obvious solution to such heinous crimes. \u00a0We would be able to regulate who would be able to own and operate a gun. \u00a0Also, everyone would have a license to operate a gun, thereby making them a public registrant.<\/p>\n But is this really the answer?<\/p>\n The 2nd Amendment is a VERY OLD amendment, based in a history that dates back to the colonial times. \u00a0However, no one has ever seem to be able to eradicate from the Constitution.<\/p>\n Why is that?<\/p>\n When the 2nd Amendment was ratified, we were still fighting a war against the British in 1689. \u00a0The \u201cright to bear arms\u201d came out of giving the people the right to form their own militia to defend against a tyrannical government.<\/p>\n Do we have that problem anymore?<\/p>\n The only way the Amendment has any basis for keeping it around today is \u201cfacilitating\u00a0against a natural right of self-defense.\u201d \u00a0But what would happen if gun control<\/strong> was legalized and the right to bear arms was stiffened to just people who hunt? \u00a0Who would we have a right to defend ourselves against?<\/p>\n Gun control is a solution that warrants consideration on the ground that it doesn\u2019t have any bearing to today\u2019s current situation. \u00a0The world would be safe if there were NO GUNS ALLOWED! \u00a0All we\u2019d have to defend ourselves against would be muggers, robbers, and people carrying knives.<\/p>\n Although this has nothing to do with gun control whatsoever, Morgan Freeman made a GREAT argument that investing in mental health research might possibly solve the issue of people gunning down whole groups of innocent people<\/p>\n What makes a person come to the decision to kill innocent people? \u00a0Is it mental health?<\/p>\n Would talking to a counselor or giving them drugs help bring their bodily function back to equilibrium?<\/p>\n It\u2019s possible. \u00a0There were unresolved demons at work inside these killers.<\/p>\n What I find extremely disturbing about the Sandy Hook killer is how NO ONE knew him well enough to say anything important about him. \u00a0How sad it is to go through life without ANY friends or anyone to confide in?<\/p>\n Did he confide with anyone in his own house? \u00a0Even his brother\u2019s friends knew OF him, but knew nothing ABOUT him. \u00a0Is that a sad household when your own brother does not even acknowledge his own existence?<\/p>\n \u00a0Don\u2019t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
