You are not an expert at everything.\u00a0 You cannot expect to BE<\/strong> an expert at everything.\u00a0 Most importantly, I\u2019m sure you don\u2019t want to DO<\/strong> everything.\u00a0 Am I right?\u00a0 Running a business requires so many hats.\u00a0 Too many hats.\u00a0 If you happen to be one of the many people who run your own physical business (as opposed to a virtual, online business), then your workload is even heavier.<\/p>\n Store hours, employees, actual dialogue with customers.<\/p>\n YUCK!<\/p>\n Atlas would be proud.\u00a0 You\u2019ve held up your business for a long time.<\/p>\n Does your back hurt?<\/p>\n Are you exhausted?<\/p>\n It\u2019s much different in the virtual world.\u00a0 My applicant list for employees isn\u2019t confined to one town, give or take how far a person wants to drive.<\/p>\n My applicant pool is worldwide.<\/p>\n What store hours?\u00a0 I work when I want to.<\/p>\n Talking to customers?\u00a0 Let me reiterate this one more time.<\/p>\n YUCK!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n As my virtual business grows, there are going to be things I can\u2019t do very well.\u00a0 Even worse, there are going to be things that, to be honest, I just don\u2019t want to do.\u00a0 We have all experienced that feeling.<\/p>\n AWWWWW MAN!!!!\u00a0 Do I have to?<\/p>\n Can\u2019t somebody else do it?<\/p>\n But I don\u2019t wanna!!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n We revert back to our childlike selves and mope back to the task, begrudgingly.<\/p>\n BUT WAIT\u2026<\/p>\n I\u2019ve got the solution!!!<\/p>\n Your time is money.\u00a0 You could be doing other things.\u00a0 Better things.\u00a0 Or better yet, nothing.\u00a0 (Maybe someone else can sympathize with me when I say sometimes you just don\u2019t want to do anything.)\u00a0 The most successful businessmen hire the best people to do the jobs they can\u2019t or don\u2019t want to do.\u00a0 Some people LOVE accounting.\u00a0 Some people LOVE writing articles.\u00a0 Some people LOVE talking to other people.\u00a0 And you can tell when a person loves what they do.\u00a0 It emanates through the work.\u00a0 There is pride oozing from that work.<\/p>\n Outsource that task and let someone happily do it for you.<\/p>\n Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Group, is an amazing man who I admire.\u00a0 Reading his autobiography, I learned so much about his drive and how he built his business empire to what it is today.\u00a0 One of the key points that I picked up from his book, and it still resonates with me today, is to hire great people to do the things you are not great at.\u00a0 One of Branson\u2019s shortcomings is his dyslexia with numbers.\u00a0 The man runs a billion dollar company, but can\u2019t read the numbers to know if it\u2019s a million or billion.<\/p>\n BUT WHO CARES!?!<\/p>\n Hire an accountant who knows that stuff.\u00a0 He focuses on the big picture.<\/p>\n This is key to keep in mind running a virtual business.\u00a0 If you\u2019re thinking about a virtual business, it\u2019s not because it\u2019s the most amazing job ever.\u00a0 (But sometimes I think so.)\u00a0 It\u2019s because the lifestyle gained from a successful online business is untouched.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t automated and outsourced all the small details of your business, then you\u2019re working too hard.<\/p>\n BE SMART!<\/p>\n My goal is to live like Tim Ferris.\u00a0 You\u2019ve heard of him.\u00a0 Wrote that book over there.\u00a0 He\u2019s living the life.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t read it, READ IT!\u00a0 He\u2019s outsourced his life so well, he picks up random hobbies.<\/p>\n What do you want to learn?\u00a0 What would you rather be doing?\u00a0 If you try and do everything, then you end up being a slave to the business instead of having the business work for you.\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that the ultimate goal?<\/p>\n The answer to all your solutions in business is simple: outsource it.
