A huge part of becoming The Expert is claiming your personal piece of\u00a0Destiny<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Knowing that you are doing\u00a0exactly\u00a0what you were put on Earth to do.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being able to say \u201cI am living my dreams\u201d is something\u00a0many of us aspire towards in our lives. But how do you actually get there?<\/p>\n

Here are 10 tips for connecting with your destiny.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. LIGHTEN UP<\/h3>\n

Look for things in your life that make you smile, laugh, or light up with\u00a0delight. As cheesy as it sounds, your destiny<\/em> lies with the people, places,\u00a0experiences, and choices that make your heart sing.<\/p>\n

Having a response of\u00a0joy and lightness is a big hint that you\u2019re connecting with something that\u00a0is truly you. A good sense of humor also helps you keep moving forward;\u00a0when you can laugh at yourself, you don\u2019t get stuck in the self-pity trap.<\/p>\n

2. SHUT UP<\/h3>\n

To hear destiny\u2019s<\/span> call, you have to be listening. That\u2019s difficult to do\u00a0when your mind is noisy, so find a meditation practice that works for you.\u00a0It doesn\u2019t need to be sitting in lotus pose waiting for enlightenment.<\/p>\n

You\u00a0can do almost anything in a meditative state; swimming, walking, yoga,\u00a0dancing, tai chi, gardening, surfing, free-writing, and chanting are just a\u00a0few things that could form a personal meditation practice. Try out a\u00a0variety of traditional and non-traditional options and see what clicks.<\/p>\n

Then make a point of doing it everyday, even if it\u2019s just 5-10 minutes to\u00a0start.<\/p>\n

3. GO PLAY<\/h3>\n

Play is the gateway to passion. Play gets you in your creative flow. Make\u00a0space in your life to play. They key is to get out of your typical routine,\u00a0and engage in an activity whose sole purpose is your personal enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Make sure that you are\u00a0actually playing,<\/i>\u00a0not just being passively\u00a0distracted or amused (Facebook, surfing the web, and TV don\u2019t count as\u00a0play). Play increases your energy, and you\u2019ll find that good ideas and\u00a0creative solutions will come out of nowhere to help you.<\/p>\n

Play is a break\u00a0from I have to\u2019s, seriousness, and adult responsibilities. It\u00a0creates space for spontaneity and new experiences.<\/p>\n

4. HIT REPEAT<\/h3>\n

Watch for patterns in your life. When things repeat, it\u2019s the Universe\u00a0trying to get your attention. Pay attention to recurring events,\u00a0conversations, objects\/symbols, and people and ask yourself what that\u00a0repetition means to you.<\/p>\n

Is there an opportunity you could follow? A\u00a0habitual stumbling block you can grow past? If the patterns are encouraging\u00a0a particular action,\u00a0do it<\/em>. This is a surefire way to catalyze a\u00a0chain of events that moves you closer to your dreams.<\/p>\n

5. LISTEN TO THE LITTLE VOICE<\/h3>\n

We all have a Little Voice that guides us. Sometimes it tells us to speak\u00a0up. Sometimes it tells us to go somewhere, or introduce ourselves to\u00a0someone. Sometimes it tells us to have faith. Sometimes it tells us to eat\u00a0fruit for breakfast.<\/p>\n

Whatever that little voice tells you, listen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is\u00a0your intuition, and it is your ultimate secret weapon in connecting with\u00a0your destiny. Just remember: Intuition is often not logical, so don\u2019t\u00a0expect the voice to make complete sense about\u00a0why<\/i>\u00a0you should make a\u00a0choice. Just practice listening and acting in cooperation with that\u00a0guidance, and see what unexpected good comes your way.<\/p>\n

6. GET EPIC<\/h3>\n

No great Hero\u2019s Tale ends with, \u201cAnd then they just kind of did some random\u00a0stuff and everything turned out okay.\u201d We love our Fairy Tale Endings\u00a0precisely because they remind us that we can do great things and live\u00a0extraordinary lives.<\/p>\n

If you are looking for your destiny, you\u2019ll need to\u00a0know your epic story of greatness. One easy way to do this is by\u00a0understanding\u00a0your main\u00a0archetypes\u00a0– the subconscious, transpersonal patterns of energy in\u00a0human behavior \u2013 and how they shape your life\u2019s story.<\/p>\n

Are you The\u00a0Warrior \u2013 always fighting for your cause? Or perhaps The Benevolent\u00a0Queen \u2013 handling business with poise and grace?<\/p>\n

Look for narratives that\u00a0are meaningful to you, and see how the story\u2019s obstacles and opportunities\u00a0parallel those of your own life.<\/p>\n

7. GET STARRY-EYED<\/h3>\n

You know that starry-eyed, open-mouthed, lost-for-words feeling you get\u00a0when you are in the presence of someone you really admire? That happens\u00a0because they are your mirror.<\/p>\n

We all would like the heavens to part and big flashy miracles to let us\u00a0know we are on the right track. However, many miracles come through the\u00a0smallest details in our life.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be afraid to embrace the small\u00a0victories and celebrate them with the same gusto as your epic wins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In\u00a0appreciating the details, you\u2019ll develop an attitude of gratefulness and\u00a0abundance. You\u2019ll start to see opportunities and bounty where other see\u00a0obstacles and lack.<\/p>\n

9. SAME THING, BUT TINY<\/h3>\n

Many times, we know exactly how we want to make our place in the world, but\u00a0it just seems entirely overwhelming and out of reach. How am I going to\u00a0become a legendary director? How can I possibly get to a multimillion\u00a0dollar business? The temptation is to pursue something that is\u00a0not\u00a0<\/i>your dream, simply because another option seems easier or more immediately\u00a0available.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t give in. If you have a dream,\u00a0go for it<\/i>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just start\u00a0with an action that is the same as your big goal, but ridiculously tiny in\u00a0scale. Be the director of an Academy Award-worthy\u00a0four-minute<\/i>\u00a0film\u00a0and post it on YouTube. Run a multi-hundred<\/em>\u00a0dollar business that\u00a0starts with one great product that you are passionate about. You can start\u00a0living your big dream today if you are willing to find the smalllest,\u00a0simplest version of it and build from there.<\/p>\n

10. GET USED TO TIME TRAVEL<\/h3>\n

All of your great deeds start as tiny seeds of experience. As much as we\u2019d\u00a0like our lives to develop in a linear fashion, the reality is that many of\u00a0the most important events in your life will happen \u201cout of order.\u201d<\/p>\n
