What is the strength of your resolve to achieve success in network marketing<\/a>?\u00a0 Are you just testing the waters by sticking your toe in?<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce a man has made a commitment to a way of life, he puts the greatest strength in the world behind him. It\u2019s something we call heart power. Once a man has made his commitment, nothing will stop him short of success.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/em>Vince Lombardi<\/p>\n

Jim Rohn, internationally renowned business philosopher, once asked a group of third graders the meaning of the word resolve.\u00a0 An eight year old girl raised her hand and said, \u201cResolve means never giving up.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you aspire to become an achiever and especially an overcomer, it takes resolve.<\/p>\n

Resolve<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you purchased your gym membership, you had the intention of using it to get into better physical condition.\u00a0 How long did it last?\u00a0 The average is only a few weeks. That is intention, but not resolve.<\/p>\n

When you purchased your initial business package, you had the intention of building a successful business, right?\u00a0 Did you resolve to build a successful business or only have the intention?<\/p>\n

As an entrepreneurs I can assure you that building a successful business requires resolve, not just intention.\u00a0 The wanna-be<\/em>, the intention<\/em> business builder, and the seeker of the easy way<\/em> won\u2019t ever join the ranks of successful business builders.\u00a0 In fact, they will never become successful at anything except quitting.<\/p>\n

A friend of mine created a unique business, dedicated long hours, studied the industry and excelled.\u00a0 When she sold the business seventeen years later, it was the premier property management company specializing in single family homes in an entire resort.\u00a0 The purchaser said, \u201cI\u2019m not going to work that hard.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I have employees.\u201d\u00a0 He failed within slightly over two years and closed the business.<\/p>\n

Building a successful business requires the resolve to do whatever it takes.\u00a0 Seeking to sit back and coast before you have paid the price for success is a formula for failure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you make the unconditional commitment to reach your most important goals, if the strength of your decision is sufficient, you will find the way and the power to achieve your goals.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Robert Conklin<\/p>\n

Building a successful business requires the resolve to re-frame persistence to become an overcomer.<\/p>\n

Persistence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Building a successful business is not for the lazy, the \u201cwanna-be,\u201d<\/em> or the merely intentional.<\/p>\n

Success in anything, especially business, requires the persistence to push through the hard days.<\/p>\n

As Olympic Champion Gabby Douglas puts it, \u201cHard days are the best because that\u2019s when champions are made.\u00a0 When you push through the hard days you can get through anything.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

Persistence when prospects are converting, sales are flowing and the bank account is building is easy.\u00a0 The mark of a champion is the one who persists on the hard days.<\/p>\n

I have to remain ever vigilant with my thoughts, words and actions that I am persisting toward my goal.\u00a0 Thoughts drive words and actions.\u00a0 Constantly maintaining a positive attitude and positive expectation of success is critical.\u00a0 Persistence toward the goal is so much easier when I don\u2019t get in my own way.<\/p>\n

I was just coaching a new business builder who had been experienced low sales volume for the last few months; the sales have finally turned the corner and started to increase.\u00a0 I kept hearing \u201cThe bad times are finished for now. I hope they don\u2019t come back.\u201d\u00a0 My advice for her, for myself and for you is to focus on \u201cI\u2019m celebrating the good times and expecting the sales to continue increasing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latter statement focuses on persisting with positive sales volume without leaving the door open for any return of the prior sales levels.<\/p>\n

Persistence is at least as important in the thought process as it is in the action phase.\u00a0 Subtle differences in thoughts and words have an impact on actions.\u00a0 Actions impact results.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmbition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Bill Bradley<\/p>\n

Become an Overcomer<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve written articles about top entrepreneurs and CEOs who have overcome tremendous odds to achieve their goals. Jeff Brezos of Amazon revolutionized online shopping, Anne Mulcahy executed a turnaround which saved Xerox, Howard Schultz turned a coffee meeting into an iconic experience, and Steve Jobs transformed Apple from a computer company into a technology cult enthusiasm experience.\u00a0 These leaders made bold moves to transform a known entity which was functioning on an ordinary industry basis into a shining star.\u00a0 Because they individually were overcomers, they re-invented their companies into overcomers.<\/p>\n

You have the capability within you to become an overcomer.\u00a0 Regardless of what has happened in the past, your future can shine.\u00a0 Look up the song by Timbuk3 The Future\u2019s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever give up, for that is just the time and place that the tide will turn.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Harriett Beecher Stowe<\/p>\n

One of the most widely publicized stories of persistence until success and being an overcomer in action was Abraham Lincoln.<\/p>\n

You have the power within you to accomplish great feats. Developing the attitude that you can and will overcome obstacles, sets the stage for your success.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have a dream, don\u2019t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong> <\/em>Roopleen<\/p>\n

What do you feel is blocking your path to success? List the potential blockers. Analyze them carefully. Are they truly reasons or are they excuses? Re-frame each one into a \u201chow can I\u201d statement. By focusing on the \u201chow can I\u201d mindset<\/a> you are well on your way to becoming an overcomer. No obstacle can withstand the power of a determined overcomer.<\/p>\n

Re-frame Persistence to Become an Overcomer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Resolve rather than intention sets the foundation.<\/p>\n

Build on that foundation with the persistence of positive thoughts, words and actions.\u00a0 Cap off the roof by focusing on becoming an overcomer.<\/p>\n

Building a successful business requires resolve and re-framing persistence to become and overcomer.<\/p>\n

Others have done it and you can also.<\/p>\n
