You are perfect the way you are.<\/strong><\/p>\n Funny thing is, I never considered Layla Black even remotely overweight.<\/p>\n And so this past weekend in Chicago, at the Empower Network<\/a> \u201cGet Money\u201d event, when she and her husband Toby Black took the stage, I was not expecting what I heard.<\/p>\n And I immediately, was blown away at what Layla shared.<\/p>\n Have you ever struggled with weight loss?<\/p>\n I have.<\/p>\n Most of my life, I have dealt with this issue.<\/p>\n Now imagine going on stage and admitting in front of 5,000 people that you have.<\/p>\n And that is what Layla did.<\/p>\n Talk about an overweight person\u2019s nightmare.<\/p>\n But was it?<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t a nightmare at all, it was someone stepping into their power.<\/p>\n Layla Black, stepped into her power in front of 5,000 people in Chicago.<\/p>\n Layla spoke from the heart and her courage and bravery touched me.<\/p>\n And her message was simple\u2026<\/p>\n \u201cYou are perfect the way you are.\u201d<\/p>\n Layla Black said that when she was one of the top income earners at a nutrition and weight loss company, she was losing weight, and in top shape.<\/p>\n The company would ask her to model and take the runway in small bikinis.<\/p>\n And she associated happiness with being in top shape.<\/p>\n Layla shared onstage\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026a\u00a0very simple concept<\/em>, but one that is not always easily obtainable\u2026<\/p>\n ==> YOU are perfect the way you are.<\/strong><\/p>\n It doesn\u2019t matter if you are a size 6 or a size 12, God knows you are perfect the way you are.<\/em><\/p>\n Layla\u2019s lesson is simple but not always easy to obtain (it takes practice).<\/p>\n Love yourself, your perfect<\/strong> self.<\/p>\n At least that is what I took away from it.<\/p>\n Most of my life I have struggled with being overweight.<\/p>\n I have gained and lost the same 50 pounds, for what seems like, most of my adult life.<\/p>\n And I am sometimes, not comfortable in my own skin.<\/p>\n And that is something I will continue to work on.<\/p>\n Often times, we see our leaders as these cyborg, unstoppable, income producing terminators.<\/p>\nComing to terms that you are perfect the way you are, is not easy, but it will bring happiness<\/h2>\n
