It is called the windy city<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2026and\u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n I am sure Chicago has seen its share of storms, but I am not sure anything will prepare them for what is about to happen this weekend.<\/p>\n Why?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n In 3 days, 5,500 Empower Network affiliates will be storming Chicago for the \u201cGet Money\u201d<\/em> event.<\/p>\n And you can say right now we are in the Calm before the Storm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Empower Network leaders<\/a> are arriving as we speak.<\/p>\n Last minute details are being finalized.<\/p>\n Travel plans are made.<\/p>\n And the BIGGEST<\/strong> \u2018live\u2019 event in Empower Network\u2019s history is about to take place.<\/p>\n And what does that mean for you?<\/em><\/p>\n Good question.<\/p>\n Let me try to put this into perspective.<\/p>\n I use this time to plan for the event, mentally.<\/p>\n I call it the Calm before the storm<\/strong>, and for me\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026it\u00a0is about getting my mindset right.<\/p>\n This will be my third Empower Network event, and I know what to expect now.<\/p>\n I am a rookie, no more.<\/em><\/p>\n And for me, I want to set clear intentions, for what this event will be for me.<\/p>\n I want to know what I am going to bring back to my team?<\/p>\n And this small window of time, a few days before the event\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026the calm before the storm<\/em>, if you want to call it that\u2026<\/p>\n is the perfect time to do just that.<\/p>\n This time, is as important as the event itself.<\/p>\n During this stage, you have to set your intentions<\/em>, plan your next few days, and be ready to go.<\/p>\n And the calm before the storm<\/strong> allows me to schedule, in my head, what I want to accomplish.<\/em><\/p>\n Who do I want to meet?<\/p>\n Who am I going to seek out and get a picture with?<\/p>\n Or an interview with?<\/p>\n What videos am I going to take?<\/p>\n What burning questions do I want answered?<\/p>\n This is the time to do all that.<\/p>\n Without a plan we are lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n These next few days I need to remove all distractions and\u2026<\/p>\n Focus.<\/p>\n Focus.<\/p>\n Focus.<\/p>\n That is what the calm before the storm<\/em> means to me.<\/p>\n Getting my mind focused.<\/p>\n One thing you can\u2019t plan for is the pace of an event. They are fast.<\/p>\n There is a lot going on.<\/p>\n My first event in San Diego, I was as green as green can be.<\/p>\n It was a whirlwind.<\/p>\n I was not mentally prepared, and even though I got a lot out of it, I probably did not maximize my experience.<\/p>\n Austin and the \u201cRelease Your Inner Badass\u201d<\/a> event was different.<\/p>\n I had a clear intention<\/strong> and a plan of action.<\/strong><\/p>\n And I executed my plan.<\/p>\n And as I look forward to \u201cGet Money\u201d<\/em> in Chicago, because\u00a0I have a clear intention<\/strong> of what I want to accomplish.<\/p>\n And if I could offer any words of wisdom to someone new, or someone getting ready to attend their very first Empower Network event, I would offer this\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026Set a clear intention<\/p>\n \u2026Remove all distractions<\/p>\n \u2026.and Take Massive Action<\/em><\/p>\n It is not unlike what we do everyday, anyway.<\/p>\n I heard team mate Susan Bachelder say yesterday on a Hangout \u201cyou must engage at an event.\u201d<\/p>\n I am paraphrasing (hope I got that right Susan).<\/p>\n But she is absolutely correct.<\/p>\n You must engage, and be active.<\/p>\n This is not the time to be timid.<\/em><\/p>\n You have to \u2018step outside your comfort zone\u2019 and get what you need.<\/p>\n For 3 days you have access to the top earners in network marketing<\/a>.<\/p>\n Meet them, engage with them, learn from them.<\/p>\n You will know when the calm before the storm<\/em> is over, because there will be an army of badasses storming the windy city.<\/p>\n And YOU will be one of them.<\/p>\n See you in Chicago!!!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n![\"the](\"\/powerkeg\/files\/2013\/01\/Steve-Kallock-and-Erica-Udeanu-300x225.jpeg\")
