Do I need a blog or a website?<\/span><\/p>\n

The question every business owner should ask themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

As people turn more and more every day to their computer or mobile device to find information on products and services\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 you have no choice but to have an internet presence<\/span><\/p>\n

in order to maximize your traffic and business success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before you decide if you should have a blog or a website, let\u2019s explore the difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Generally speaking, a website is a static page, or a few pages that you have to have built for you\u2026unless you\u2019re a computer guru.<\/span><\/p>\n

I say static, because they are difficult to upgrade or change without technical skills or a programmers help.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most business owners hire someone to design a website, and have to go back to the designer to make any changes.\u00a0 All of which can be \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026expensive.<\/span><\/p>\n

A blog, on the other hand, is still a website, but it can be added to or changed every day if wanted.<\/span><\/p>\n

A blog is dynamic.<\/span><\/p>\n

By its very nature, it grows on a regular basis.<\/span><\/p>\n

A business owner with a blog instead of a website can add content every day if they want to.<\/span><\/p>\n

You could ad a video of a happy customer as a testimonial, which is a good thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

You could write an article about a new product or service you are releasing next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

You could write a review of any product or service you provide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine a real estate agent being able to take pictures or videos of different rooms of a new listing and turning each of them into a blog post, all linked together with all the benefits of owning this home.<\/span><\/p>\n

This gives your blog some SEO link juice. (It\u2019s OK if you don\u2019t know what that means, just know that it is good)\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026or\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

A landscaper who takes some pictures or video of a job he just finished, and a video testimonial from the person who hired him\/her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine posting pictures of jewelry or any product you create?<\/span><\/p>\n

How about a pastor who can put each of his\/her sermons on their blog each week so no one in their congregation misses it. And that one family who was looking for a new church who stumbles upon that sermon and resonates with your message, and joins your church.<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount of examples I could give are endless.<\/span><\/p>\n

So to answer the question; do I need a blog or a website?<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a no-brainer. A blog is a much better way to get your message in front of the eyes of the people you want to speak to. Whether to sell, or to just speak your message.<\/span><\/p>\n
