I felt like I swallowed my heart.<\/strong> My palms were sweaty and I can feel my legs shake as I walked up to my first person to introduce myself at the Empower Network<\/span><\/a> Event in the beautiful Hilton Hotel in Austin Texas.<\/p>\n

I noticed immediately what I got myself into, and it was too late to turn back. I gritted my teeth and squinted my eyes as I walked towards the person.<\/p>\n

The voices in my head telling me these people are going to laugh at you and call you stupid.<\/p>\n

So I started to listen to them, and slowly backed away sort of defeated, when I see out of the corner of my eye my friend Amir going up to a complete stranger and connecting with the person like they were best friends.<\/p>\n

So it was in that moment I made my decision.<\/p>\n
