Your morning routine – or daily routine is critical and every part of your routine is necessary. You probably, “wake up on the wrong side of the bed” because you start the day off on the wrong foot, as promised I will show you how to put your foot on the stamp that says “productivity.”

1. Start the day by taking a deep breathe

To start the day you need to get up and take deep breaths. I skipped most of biology class but I know every breathe feeds your lungs life.

2. Where to put your alarm clock?

Put your alarm clock in another room, or on the opposite side of your room. <del>Put it in a place where you have to stand up and turn it off</del>. Chances are you will actually wake up.

If you have a busy day, you need to wake up on schedule. If you don’t you will feel like your just going through the motions which is sluggish, lackluster, and half-assed. You will end up finding a lot more excuses which won’t get anything done.

Over time, you won’t need an alarm clock.. who the hell wants to wake up by an alarm clock anyways?

3. Exercise

It has been proving that any form of exercising is better for you than sitting on your ass. Take a walk, hit the gym, ride a bike, do pushups, do yoga, “just do.”

If you knew me <del>(you should lol)</del> then you would know that I used to never get up early – and by Gods sake I would never go to the gym early. Not only do I exercise now, but I actually wake up early.

How did I do this?

It was simple. Get a loud alarm clock and put it somewhere far. Take deep breathes and before you sleep, put work out clothes & equipment next to your bed! If you have trouble exercising after doing this – well, exercising and energizing yourself must not be your focus.

4. Start the day by “Re-programming”

If you wake up and look at your email or Facebook, you are screwing yourself. That is the dumbest sh*t you can do in the morning.

Listen to educational audio related to your niche when you wake up. This audio was thought out, meaning it isn’t regurgitated garbage! Someone did not wake up and start talking (like a Facebook status) they actually planned the script and spoke professionally.

In the morning we tend to get negative and put yourself down, and we are exposed to excuses, put an iPod with education (not music) on in the morning to get in your groove!

5. Start the day with Quality Breakfast

You have to start the day by eating something healthy and energizing, if you hate cooking prepare food night before.

6. Goal and/or To-Do List

Create your “goal” or “to-do” list before you sleep. When you wake up get it done! If your the type of person who takes time to write a “to-do” list, but you don’t “to-do” anything… you need to make your list smaller. Or you can put a line after your most important tasks and leave the tasks (under the line) for when you complete your most important tasks (above the line.)

You are overwhelming yourself if you have a list with one hundred tasks! Limit your list to the “3 Most Important tasks,” make them important! Over the year you completed 1,000 important tasks!

7. Get the annoying work out of the way!

There is always something we dread during the day. Toughen up and get that done first. From my experience, I procrastinate too much – and if I have a daunting goal, I will just put it off. (‘Get-errrr done!)

8. Get your goals done as fast as possible!

The quicker you can finish your to-do list – the faster you can do what you love, or the faster you can get more work done. Success loves speed- the faster you are, the fastest your dreams come true.

9. Meditate

I love to start the day with meditation. You should close your eyes, keep your back straight, put your hands where ever you want, and be comfortable. When you first start meditating – try it for 10minutes for 2 weeks and bump it up 5-15 minutes every 2 weeks.

Meditation helps you focus and get clear about your goals.

10. Smile

Maybe your into affirmations or incantations (which are awesome.) If you do not do that – just be grateful for the day and put a smile on your face! It will release those “feel-good” chemicals in your brain!

11. Journal Time!

I’m going to keep it real with you, journals are awesome. If you do not own one, get in your car and drive to the closest journal shop (if there is one,) for me it is CVS.

I originally learned this from an old mentor, and his name was Jim Rohn. Then, all of a sudden it seemed like every single ultra-successful businessman had a journal. SO guess what? I got one too.

Write down your thoughts, ideas, strategies, philosophies, emotions, train of thought, did I say ideas yet? Also right down the way you do things, meaning your step by steps, daily tasks, goals and those sort of things. I write down stories, or random things that happen during the day, and I will transfer those stories into blog posts or emails. Put your journal next to your bed as you go to sleep, whenever you get an idea – jot it down.

P.S. Something I do that really helps me smile and have a great day is wake up and have new leads in my inbox ready to buy a product from my business. Now, to be real I am not a gooro, I just learned a lucrative 3 step solution that really helped my lack of lead-gen in the internet marketing world. You can catch a glimpse of that free video here (it is actually new and updated now.) It is awesome and ironically I learned some of the best advice from a former drug addict and a homeless guy.
