Today, for Father\u2019s Day, my wife took me out to see a movie, \u201cMan of Steel<\/strong>.\u201d \u00a0Now I\u2019m not one who usually goes in to movie reviews but I told a friend I would try this time.<\/p>\n

I would have to start by saying I was worried, very worried that the movie would just absolutely suck. \u00a0I have been saying that for quite sometime. \u00a0I mean I love \u201cSuperman\u201d I really do. \u00a0Everything from the original movies to \u201cLois and Clark\u201d and down to the most recent, \u201cSmallville.\u201d \u00a0Everything BUT the last movie, \u201cSuperman Returns.\u201d<\/p>\n

I think, and this is my personal opinion, that movie, \u201cSuperman Returns,\u201d was the worst! \u00a0I can\u2019t really point out any one specific thing that made it horrible. \u00a0I just think it all was horrible.<\/p>\n

So with the fear of watching another \u201cSuperman Returns\u201d and with all the hype about the movie, I am one who usually runs from hype because my experience never lives up to what has been promised, I was worried.<\/p>\n

Man of Steel<\/h2>\n

So with all that said\u2026Man of Steel<\/u> was freaking awesome! \u00a0I would have to say, again my own personal opinion, one of the best movies I\u2019ve seen in a while.<\/p>\n

I loved the way the movie began (I promise I won\u2019t give any details away) and how they showed Clark\u2019s progression into becoming Superman. \u00a0In everything I have seen before, I haven\u2019t seen him step into that role in this way. \u00a0And for me, I thought it rocked!<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t seen Man of Steel<\/em> yet or maybe haven\u2019t even seen a preview, here is just a taste:<\/p>\n

I will say that it\u2019s a longer movie with the running time being 2hrs 23 mins, which I love. \u00a0I truly love long movies. \u00a0I don\u2019t know why, but if it is a good movie I just don\u2019t want it to end. \u00a0And that was the case here. \u00a0A great movie that I could still be sitting and watching 6 hours later! lol!<\/p>\n

Man of Steel Cast<\/h2>\n

I think the cast great. \u00a0Some I knew and some I didn\u2019t and some were unexpected (I didn\u2019t do a whole lot of research before), but I think, in my \u201cprofessional\u201d (haha) opinion, that the cast was wonderful.<\/p>\n

Which is hard to say with me being such a big Smallville fan. \u00a0You know, you get used to seeing certain people fill certain roles. \u00a0Or a role being played out a certain way with a certain personality and then to adjust can be hard at times. \u00a0But the cast was so fitting I could embrace it easily!<\/p>\n

General Thoughts on Man of Steel<\/h2>\n

Really with me being a preacher and all, I could draw out a lot of take aways from \u201cMan of Steel.\u201d One of the things I love most about all things Superman, is the underlining theme that even though we may be different, we can still do great things.<\/p>\n

And that if we all had the same sense of responsibility to one another, like Superman has, we could truly make this world a better place!<\/p>\n

With all this being said, and I\u2019m not sure how good this is being my first movie review (you can let me know in the comments), but I would recommend to any and everyone to go see this movie. \u00a0Take you kids, your parents, you neighbors, or anyone you can find and go see Man of Steel!<\/p>\n
