\"pageant\"Every year on Memorial Day Weekend Beaver Dam (where I live) host the \u201cStrawberry Festival.\u201d \u00a0It runs throughout the weekend and has a lot of activity going on. \u00a0There is a car show, motorcycle show, rides, booths, singing, and of course the Pageant!<\/strong><\/p>\n

And this year we put Kensi<\/a>\u00a0in the baby pageant<\/em>. \u00a0The whole things kicked off this morning at 10 and they broke down the groups by age. \u00a0For example, they started things off with newborn to 3 month old girls and then followed with the boys of the same age. \u00a0And so on they went climbing up the age ladder until they got to the teenage Miss Strawberry Pageant.<\/p>\n

Like fools we arrived early, at 9:30, just to make sure we got there in time. \u00a0\u00a0The pageant<\/span> didn\u2019t begin until 10 and Kensi is 15 months old so we ended up waiting a pretty good while. \u00a0Over an hour to be exact.<\/p>\n

It was tough keeping a 15 month old occupied for over an hour. \u00a0Well I guess you could say keeping her still for an hour was the tough part. \u00a0I heard an old saying once that said, \u201cyou spend a year teaching a baby to walk and to talk and spent the next 18 years trying to get them to sit down and shut up.\u201d \u00a0I thought that was funny.<\/p>\n

But all in all Kensi did pretty well. \u00a0When it was time for her to finally go on stage she did wonderful. \u00a0Came right out and waved she is a very cute baby. \u00a0She was a very good little girl during the most the process.<\/p>\n

Like I\u2019m sure all the kids were, she was getting hot and tired and it started to show!<\/p>\n

But she still did really well and actually got 3rd place!! \u00a0YAY Kensi!!<\/p>\n

Overall today has been a great day! \u00a0I love being able to spend time with my family doing things like this. \u00a0I would want to miss this for the world! \u00a0I am very proud of my little girl and how she acted today.<\/p>\n

More days like this, maybe not another pageant but\u2026<\/h3>\n

It is days like this that cause me to stay up late when I have to go to work most mornings. \u00a0It is for days like this that I spent hours in front of my computer learning or spend my whole work day listening to training. \u00a0Because I want there to be more days like this and not just on Holidays, but every day.<\/p>\n
