So many things come to mind\u2026 Not being a Mother myself, So I chose the following One way we can ALL<\/em> celebrate Mother Day And so I ask you, A good compliment should be like a good gift: I recall back when I was moving away from my home town of San Antonio to move to Dallas, Texas. But, when I was \u201cofficially\u2019 moving to a completely different city for an unknown amount of time, My Mother cried as I understand Mother\u2019s do when their children \u201cleave the nest.\u201d<\/p>\n My Mother was kind enough to give me a few gifts \u2013 Some food she had made, I think some clothes, Toilet paper (of course) and a book. It was a book called \u201cLife\u2019s Little Instruction Book\u201d written as a few notes by a Father to his son as he was leaving for college. In the introduction the author, H. Jackson Brown, states :<\/p>\n \u201cI read years ago that it was not the responsibility of parent to pave the road for their children. but to provide a road map. That\u2019s how I hoped he would use these mind and heart reflections.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Inside are little tips on what one father thinks it takes to live a \u201cgood\u201d life. And, even though it was a Father to a son, I like to think my Mother gave it to me that day because she wanted me to learn what She thought life was all about.<\/p>\n So, what better way is there to Celebrate Mother Day than to Useful Things like:<\/strong><\/p>\n 130 \u2013 Leave the toilet seat in the down position<\/em> and even Life-affirming Mind attitudes like :<\/strong><\/p>\n 226 \u2013 When somone hugs you, let Them be the first to let go.<\/em><\/p>\n 383 \u2013 Understand that Happiness is not based on possessions, power, or prestige, but on relationships with people you love and respect.<\/em><\/p>\n 31 \u2013 Buy whatever kids are selling on card tables in their front yard.<\/em> 324 \u2013 Don\u2019t delay acting on a good idea. Chances are somone else has just thought of it, too. Success comes to the one who acts First.<\/em><\/p>\n To \u201cget Over Yourself\u201d suggestions :<\/strong><\/p>\n 322 \u2013 Don\u2019t say you don\u2019t have enough time. You have Exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Theresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein.<\/em><\/p>\n 68 \u2013 Be Brave.<\/a> Even if your not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.<\/em><\/p>\n That little book has been both Educational and Enlightening in my Life\u2019s path.
