I\u2019ve got a secret to share with you\u2026\"body<\/a><\/p>\n

OK, it\u2019s not so much a secret if you know me personally. \u00a0I\u2019m overweight.<\/p>\n

There, I said it, I admit it, I embrace it. \u00a0I\u2019m wrapping myself up in the big fuzzy warmth of that statement and acknowledging fully that I\u2019m overweight.<\/p>\n

The sad part is, I\u2019ve been overweight most of my life. \u00a0And just a little overweight, I\u2019m technically considered obese for my body size. \u00a0When I got out of bed this morning, I hopped on the scale (not one of my favorite activities) and faced the harsh reality of the number in front of me.<\/p>\n

Yep, it\u2019s three digits and they\u2019re pretty high up there. \u00a0If I\u2019m calculating my BMI (body mass index) I find another pretty shocking number: 42.<\/p>\n

Now, as much as I love all things 42, I don\u2019t like this number at all. \u00a0According to the people that know a lot more about this health stuff than I do, any BMI over 30 is considered obese.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve figured out by now that my number is significantly higher than the good number. \u00a0Hence, obesity has set in and is currently filling my living room with crud.<\/p>\n

So, starting today, I\u2019m making a change. I\u2019m starting my own personal challenge to carry me for the next 90 days and I\u2019ll be documenting everything each day right here on my Empower Network blog.<\/p>\n
