\"\"There are many blogging platforms out there. Forget about all of them except WordPress. WordPress is a free, easy to use platform. It can be easily adapted to do whatever you want it to do. Little apps called \u201cplug-ins\u201d make this very easy to use and to modify.<\/p>\n

WordPress has 2 versions, both of which are free. You can have your blog hosted by WordPress.com or you can get your blog hosted elsewhere. Hostgator is one host which I recommend. They are very reliable, affordable and strive for excellent customer support. You can actually install WordPress right from your Hostgator dashboard.<\/p>\n
