Yesterday was a Saturday. It was time for me and my daughter to\u00a0 meet and enjoy each others company.<\/p>\n
I was sitting at the kitchen table. Next to me was sitting my ex-girlfriend (we still like each others company), opposite me was sitting my daughter.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not want my father to be strict with me<\/em>?\u201d –\u00a0 said my little in a very sad voice.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy would he?<\/em>\u201d –\u00a0 asked my ex a bit perplexed.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, you told me if my father was with me as long as you are, then he would be more strict with me.I do not want that.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cDo not worry. He won\u2019t be. We will all have a great time.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n We were talking about my sisters wedding.\u00a0 All of us three are going. Since me and my ex split we do not do social stuff together. This is an exception. The wedding is in a different city,\u00a0 in a different country, in a different language. They need me to travel with them. For safety reasons. For any reasons.<\/p>\n I do not raise our daughter.\u00a0 My ex does. I am just the daddy Santa to her. It is about being a father<\/em><\/span><\/strong> that buys her stuff she likes, just small toys.\u00a0 And I do stuff with her she likes: running around, playing various games,\u00a0 drawing, playing memory games,whatever.<\/p>\n I did not have all this as a child.\u00a0 My father was not at home in the evenings. I wonder where he was. He was in the military service for some time too.<\/p>\n Later I was not at home. I was training or at school. I came home just for food and sleep. I had good friends though and lot of fun with them.<\/p>\n Sometimes I wonder if I am a good father.\u00a0 I should raise my daughter too. But since she is a daughter and not a son, it might work \u2013 I mean having just fun time. I know she loves me. She told me many times.<\/p>\n She is immensely clever. Me and my mother-in-law do not meet. Since me and my\u00a0 ex split I haven\u2019t met her. She works in a book shop. My daughter and me were in the city center yesterday, the book shop is located there. It is a small book shop, in a small town with a small town center.<\/p>\n \u201cLets go there.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 my daughter\u2019s finger\u00a0 pointed towards the book shop.<\/p>\n \u201d Why? You need to see something there?<\/em>\u201d \u2013 I was well aware there is a slight chance we run into the mother-in-law working there.<\/p>\n And guess what? There she was. Hurrying along the low shelves\u00a0 filled with books. She noticed us. We shook hands. My daughter smiled.<\/p>\n I just guess my daughter wanted us to meet. As soon as we shook hands, we said \u201cHello.<\/em>\u201c, and just after couple of seconds said \u201cBye<\/em>.\u201d. My daughter pulled me away. She\u00a0 had no need to go to the book shop anymore.<\/p>\n I did not asked her any questions. We entered a huge shopping mall. We headed towards the toy shop.<\/p>\n I found this hilarious video of a father who was traveling with his exhausted daughter, somewhere in Russia I guess. Being a father<\/em><\/span><\/strong> brings funny moments too:\n<\/p>\n As a father I am responsible for the well being of my daughter.
